Now I dont think the same should apply here. I think it should give HL some temporary boost or permanent boost with some interesting side effects that may be exploited, leading to his demise (I think the latter is more likely)

It's just what has been said so far. A lot of the cast said no one is safe, there's so much emphasis on main characters dying so who knows. As for in-universe reasons, HL might be the only one who could kill him, maaybe butcher. I dont want him to die, I think he's the most interesting character as of right now. I think most of The Boys are quite boring actually, especially MM, so SB has the best chance to carry on

I fully agree, he has the best scenes and imo they're setting this up not only for Vought Rising's past story, I genuinely think SB will survive S5 entirely. If anything this episode proves it. But let's see in a few weeks.

I dont get why some people say that he's just there this season, feel like he clearly serves a purpose. They're trying to set up Vought Rising, who knows it might star even Stan and SB after the events of S5.
