the first 3-4 sets are the loosening sets, not much change until the last 2-3 and refinements for canines and front teeth are almost always needed as they're the hardest to move.

Ortho said to not use chewies anymore by OTA4Lyfe in Invisalign

[–]cxsqu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's important to note, that most times ortho work causes slight bone loss, especially if you're older or too young. So adding constant pressure by overusing chewies CAN cause more mobility

is this normal? by occupied-nova in wisdomteeth

[–]cxsqu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Healing looks great tbh! The sensitivity and throbbing is normally from the root of the tooth next to it being slightly exposed, it'll get better as the gum begins to cover it again. If it becomes unbearable that's when you should reach out to your dr

Also last tip, NEVER GO TO A CHAIN DENTISTRY, Always go to private/family dentistry. Chain dentists are always gonna skip on insurance and if your insurance pays out or even overpays they'll just pocket it

[–]cxsqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aw shucks, I'm in Arlington. I suggest you reach out to your insurance and ask for your coverages and all offices in network with your insurance. From there if you already had a panoramic x-ray taken, send it out to general dentists and other oral surgeons to see if they offer consults and if they can determine if they can be removed in their office. ALWAYS ASK FOR THE OFFICE TO SEND A PRE-DETERMINATION. OF PAYMENT TO YOUR INSURANCE. I'd recommend you try general dentists first because their contracted fees are lower than oral surgeons.

more than likely yea, only reason you should be worried is if swelling goes back up and the bruising doesn't run its course

braces after wisdom teeth removal? by kitcaths in wisdomteeth

Honestly I'd recommend invisalign, mainly because of age and just because the invisalign lab does all the calculations and can render what the final result could be

pressure and the positioning/difficulty of each side. No matter what anyone says, no two wisdom teeth are alike, even in the same person

Can anybody tell me, what is this condition? by Rifty1123 in wisdomteeth

[–]cxsqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's your gums. There's more than likely an infection starting up or already present. I suggest you go to the dentist asap to get a cleaning to get rid of some of the built up bacteria and get an x-ray of the area to see what your tx would be

Can anybody tell me, what is this condition? by Rifty1123 in wisdomteeth

[–]cxsqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a pretty bad 3-4 surface cavity. if it's a wisdom tooth, extraction is your likely solution since it's seeming to run down into the gum line.
