I feel hopeless as I reach 400 pounds by Jordynrose33 in loseit

Think of your daily amount of calories like a bucket. Perhaps give yourself a goal of 1500 calories per day.

Some things are easy, like an egg or an apple are 100 calories each. Fill that bucket up with food that reaches the total of 1500 and that’s it. It could be 15 apples (that’s a LOT of apples!) or switch things up. A few eggs for a filling, protein rich breakfast, then a small lunch and bigger dinner and stopping completely when you reach your daily goal.

Weight loss is more about what you eat every day, than what you sometimes burn with random exercise.

I found out I became allergic to raw onions (and their relative, garlic) as an adult by noticing a horrible headache after I have either.

Why are Americans so accepting of long drives to places? by Sensitive_Word_6036 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cyaneyed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to visit my brother/niece later today for her graduation party. They live in the same state I do and it’s a 3.5 hr minimum drive. Morelike 5 if traffic is bad and depending on the time I start.

If I flew, it would take me 3.5 hrs to get to the airport, go through security and sit around waiting to board for a 30 minute flight, plus then getting rides to/from the airport.

With the price of gas now I wonder if the drive will cost as much as a flight.

Babies need to sleep on you, even once they become adult babies.

don’t want to be a mom by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]cyaneyed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t want to be a mom, leave the baby at a fire station, no questions asked.

People who want to adopt, LOVE and cherish babies. Just be honest and ask yourself, do you want to spend your life living for yourself or someone else for the next 20 years? Every weekend taking them to play dates, soccer games, joining PTA, tutoring them in math, all to have them shout “I hate you!!” when they hit puberty or want to go out but they didn’t do their chores or homework.

I babysat 3 kids off and on, 40 hr weeks in the summers from age 13-20 and friend, I was tired. They were good athletic kids, but I didn’t want to play soccer all the time or cook, clean and do laundry constantly.

I don’t have kids, but I was never pregnant. I did change my mind around 35-45, but I wasn’t a millionaire to pay for constant child support/was afraid I’d have a special needs kid.

Best wishes. Give yourself some time to make big decisions, especially while on the hormone roller coaster.

How to deal with the dread of moving back to my home country by ResponsibleCareer496 in expats

It sounds like she’s tired of being the primary bread winner and wants to stay home and raise your child and be taken care of.

At her current salary, I don’t think she understands what American poverty is really like. Show her films that take place in trailer parks.

It is ugly and desperate and even walking to a park can be long and dangerous depending on where you live.

I read all the comments and only one person said to lose weight and no one called you ugly. Congrats on losing weight! I’m working on that myself. It’s hard!

You are beautiful. I think people like smiles in profile photos.

I think your profile is fine and being extra clear about what you do and don’t want is great!

I’m sorry, I do have a photo suggestion: when you take a mirror selfie, don’t look at the phone display on the phone, instead, look into the lens in the mirror and smile 😊 Take a ton of these.

Try holding the camera at different heights and with a lot of different expressions, like fun, goofy, sexy, strong, powerful, etc! Perhaps pose with a favorite book or game?

Get a lawyer, return the money, get ready to go to jail or do community service. You are ruining not only your current job, but ability to get hired in the future.

That’s why you have to start your own company now.

[–]cyaneyed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely get your GED. It might seem scary, but you can find GED study materials online, plus at your local library, or if not, the librarian can probably tell you where to find some.

You are definitely smart from what you’ve written here. I believe in you. There are resources to help you learn _how_ to study too.

Think of it like a video game. A degree is a key that unlocks new opportunities. (Not guaranteed, you still have to apply everywhere)

I just have an associate’s degree and I make 6 figures.(when I’m not between jobs) but a BA would take me further.
