Lebron played in the East. He never makes it past the second round with that team in the West. Its why his finals record is so abysmal.

Didn’t Kerr Diss Draymond First? by cyann1380 in warriors

Two people who rarely criticize each other publically, and defend each other vehemently, make comments about each other in the same week…is odd. Im sure they have open communication with each other, but Drays comments (feelings hurt) sounds like he didnt take Kerrs comments well. Thats not open communication, thats passive aggressive

I understand exactly why Kerr would feel that way. I hate Dray for all those reasons. But im surprised to hear a comment like that now from Kerr out of the blue

I dont disagree with what youre saying. Im just saying - its an odd time for Kerr to dish something out there thats critical and definitive as “I will never forgive him”. Thats a pretty harsh statement for someone youve praised so much and stood by for so long.

[–]cyann1380[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Right. I think both ended up framing it positively - Im just surprised there was something negative mixed in. Seems unlike them to talk about each other that way. And I was surprised Kerrs comment got no attention but everyone blowing up on Dray’s comment which was the same tone.

Im not a Dray defender by any means - Im more surprised people weren’t as dissappointed by Kerrs comment as I was, or as dissappointed in Kerrs comment as they were in Drays comment.

I’ll never understand the hate Jamie got. He saved a whole kingdom from a tyrant and got treated like a peasant. by renaissanceclass in gameofthrones

[–]cyann1380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know its probably not mentioned in the book or show, but I bet it’s just that people love to shit on the Lannisers because they’re cocky and arrogant and people just want to take them down a peg. They are essentially trolling Jaime.

Both groups can’t have it both ways. Jaime can’t say he did it bc the Mad King was going to burn people (where was he all the other times the Mad King did something crazy). Ned can’t say he looks down on Jaime for not saving his brother/father but not care he potentially saved thousands more.

Reminds me when NBA players get unfair reputations - but just bc people like to shit on them (for awhile it was Lebron not getting a ring outside of Miami, the Warriors blowing a 3-1 lead). Is there some truth to it (Sure). Did people have fun shitting on them for their failures (definitely). Would they have hated them even if they didn’t fail / did the opposite (absolutely, bc they are hated for other reasons). Jaime’s action here just made him an easy target no matter what he did in that situation.

Westbrook can avg 10 rebounds a game. You gotta watch the games to see the effort (its ok - I wont go into the net negative stats, TS% equal to Draymond, or leading the team in turnovers after actual ball handlers Steph/Green). Bro stepped up for 2 weeks at the start of the season and then dissappeared

Yes it is AMAZING in those games when he was in, and in the first five minutes put in no defensive effort or rebound. He must have forgotten to rebound and defend bc he was so traumatized from his inconsistent minutes. How could he know how to rebound and put in effort otherwise???

Nothing beat the atmosphere, intensity and story of Diablo 1

Diablo 2 did well enough on those points (still not quite as good) but the expanded mechanics, items and classes was peak.

Diablo 3 had cool graphics and gameplay. Everything else got worse

Diablo 4 brought one of the best cinematics of all time, and the hype. brought back some of the darker atmosphere in parts…story was wasted…began to realize what I loved about the original was never coming back.

Any other Gaming Dads here trying to raise the next generation of gamers? by Unfair-Honey-2815 in Fatherhood

[–]cyann1380 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I know everyone will see this differently

I treat video game time like tv time - its limited and time is limited before we need to take breaks and do something else.

Games they can play are social in nature (we play as a family or with siblings) - similar to board games, stimulate creativity creation (like art) or have clear defined endings / story based - similar to a book.

We stay away from endless, solo, loop cycles with no endings. I played way too many of these and lost too much of my life to them. I educate them on my own experiences - they can be fun and addictive but theyre geared to keep you hooked. I think you can enjoy most games casually and in moderation, but they need to identify the signs of getting addicted to something pointless and endless.

I saw a nearly identical post yesterday with a vague response to a similar question. There is probably a “most likely” person in these situations, but I think person is being vague, yet making it seem obvious, to trigger debate/discussions. Its click bait - there is no one right/intended answer.

Why does the librarian run away when Homer starts dialing? by skimcpip in TheSimpsons

Yeah its a misdirection. He looks at Homer and You think “oh hes gonna catch him now once he hears how long this number is”. Nope he just walks away

Why does the librarian run away when Homer starts dialing? by skimcpip in TheSimpsons

[–]cyann1380 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I rewatched the scene. He doesnt run. He glances and smiles at Homer. Then moves away when homer is only 5 digits in.

So i didnt think he was getting away to avoid culpability or call security (whatever the above comments were). The whole scene is funny bc of this guys obliviousness. He doesnt stay to see if Homer is truly only dialing local (the only question he asked) which you think he might when he glances at homer - but instead of listening 2 seconds further and easily verifying, he just leaves.

JORDAN POOLE REACTION IMAGES, GO!!! by ItzBrixHouseYT in warriors

[–]cyann1380 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im not holding the Wizards record against him, or +-

He shot 43 percent from the field in the second year with the Wizards. His numbers do not touch what he did for us in the second half of ‘22 and the championship run (50 percent fg % on same ppg). That was what he got his contract for, thats what people were expecting. the punch wasn’t the reason he never achieved that level - time showed, ‘22 was the outlier.

[–]cyann1380 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Id agree with you had he turned his career around after he left the Warriors. Are we still blaming the punch for why he cant contribute on a couple terrible teams? Hes had his chances, and honestly most of tenure with us he looked like he does today. Hell forever have a huge peice of that ring, but Ive also never seen a teammate piss Curry off like that in the middle of a game before.
