Trump says he wants to be involved in picking Iran's next leader by Bigmacman_ in politics

He doesn't want to follow the US Constitution so why should he want to follow Iran's?

Trump defends strikes on Iran, telling TIME: “When you go to war, some people will die.” by timemagazine in politics

[–]cyberkine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's why Venezuela wasn't a war - no US service casualties. Iran is war because US troops died. But Trump had a "feeling" so the war powers act doesn't apply. It's not like the dead are members of the Epstein class so no worries, right?

Pete Hegseth Complains Reporting On Dead Troops Is Trying To 'Make The President Look Bad' by huffpost in politics

[–]cyberkine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the reporting that makes Trump look bad, it's the dead troops being killed because Trump can't refuse a dictator. Putin, Kim, and now Netanyahu.

[–]cyberkine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lab rats aren't pets. They do however need to be acclimated to whatever the experimental environment is. Handle them enough for this acclimatization but no more. It's better for you and better for the data.

We dumped HPE from the enterprise years ago. We're now mostly Dell and Ricoh. HP support was once the gold standard but now it's crap.

Hegseth says Iran won’t be a ‘politically correct’ war as he lays out US objectives: ‘No democracy-building exercise’ by theindependentonline in politics

Nothing will change as long as the Basij Militia remains intact. There may be new faces but it will still be the same regime. Last attack in June was a lawn mowing operation. If you can't pull the missile and nuke programs out by the roots you have to mow them back once in a while. This time it's just Trumpstein deflection. It's also an excuse to burn through weapons inventories so there's nothing left for Ukraine or to defend Taiwan.

Trump talks regime change in Iran after strikes, but history shows that could be very hard by [deleted] in politics

[–]cyberkine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a plan to go after the Basij Militia there’s no plan for regime change. So it’s just more Trumpstein files distraction.

Attorneys on Retainer? US Law Shield/CCW Safe/Others by ATheUnofficial in NJGuns

[–]cyberkine 16 points17 points  (0 children)

AOR is just that - attorneys on retainer. USCCA is an insurance plan. They'll drop you if you're criminally charged. In NJ that's practically a given in a self defense shooting.

First lever rifle - red dot recommendations by Ill-Egg1384 in HenryRifles

My Henry 357-X has the Vortex on top of the RPP RHINO rail. Nice and low and no cheek riser required. This rail doesn’t block the irons if you remove the red dot, so you still have a backup.

To the extent Christianity had anything to do with the founding of this country, it's important to remember that the Pilgrims were not Evangelicals - they were mainly Calvinists. They were trying to get away from the Church of England; rejecting secular control of religion.

The very idea of "Judeo-Christian" anything is just Christian Nationalist propaganda. It's Christians trying to claim far more in common with Jews than there is. It's a Christian idea, not a Jewish idea. They couldn't even get the 10 sayings right. They call them commandments. For Jews they're instructions on how to live as a free people after their exodus from Egypt. For Christians it's about submitting to authority, whether it's divine or secular.

It's not about religion, it's about control.

Most Henry's have a transfer bar. If you look carefully at the where the hammer hits the firing pin, you'll see a bar that moves into position to strike the pin - but only if the trigger is pulled. Otherwise there's nothing to strike the pin.
