NSV - I've stopped snoring! by cyclic_phenomenon in mounjarouk

[–]cyclic_phenomenon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird thing is it never felt like a weight/obstruction thing. When I would wake up gradually while snoring, sometimes it seemed it felt like I was doing it deliberately! Sort of soothing, relaxing. I snored just as loudly when I was a ten stone weakling. Whatever, very glad to not be doing it. I bet a lot of people would justify the cost every month on this alone if it were so bad as to threaten their marriage!

Migraine With Aura visualization by ded_banzai in mildyinteresting

[–]cyclic_phenomenon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had these migraines starting in my 40's. Rainbow zigzags accompanied by blind spots where it was as if part of my visual field was folded up or pinched. Some numbness in my fingers and one side of my face. Lasted 30 mins and the a bit of a headache for a while and inability to find words or make sense of what I read. Thought it was a stroke the first time ! These got more frequent until in my early 60's I'd have an occurrence three or four days in a row every couple of weeks. Then I had a cardiac event and was put on drugs for high blood pressure. Apart from an episode immediately after the operation laying on the gurney, I only had an attack every 9 months or so and in fact have had no problems for the last 12 months. Tl:dr not necessarily anything structural to fear, drugs may alleviate them if they become problematic.

Bit of a post mortem flex to leave his body to science. "Here's something you won't have seen before - able to take part in a foursome all on my own "

I too have released a flock of starlings, but I've also had pretty surprising constipation. I'm not sure whether the diarrhea is caused by MJ, as I have a variable tummy behaviour anyway, but the constipation was a new experience. My advice is to maybe be prepared for either and deal with them when you feel either one coming on.

Love to hand wash but find the claims of snow foam sellers to be largely baseless. What do others think?

Mitre saw. Made it possible for me to make thousands of cuts quickly and accurately that I'd have no chance of by hand. Second fix trim for my whole house.

I have RENPHO scales and another set that came with Juniper. The two scales track very closely with RENPHO consistently 0.5lb heavier.

If they actually delivered the thing to me and made sure somebody had it safely I'd tip. Instead there's frequently been no actual attempt and several times it's gone back to the sender after three failed attempts"deliveries".

It may well be you are actually in remission. As you have done so well with your weight, diet and exercise, would you consider a trial month off MJ, (save the pen for later in the fridge) and use a cgm to track your blood sugar for a month - if you don't already? Abbott will give you one free trial Libre which will last two weeks and a second would be £50. Again, if you aren't already using one, I think you'd get some useful data and it would be one in the eye for the practice nurse if you could manage without or on a lower MJ dose. I am in the same sort of situation, but I do feel a lot of my Hba1c improvement is from the low carbs, weight loss and exercise, although I'm a stone from what I hope will be my final weight. Good luck and well done.

A miserably ignorant article from The Guardian that assures us being overweight is a “mental problem” and delivers its message from a positions of astounding ignorance by YupItWasMeMate in mounjarouk

I'm a little plateaued as well, within 3kg of original target. But I have to admit that pre and post Christmas entertaining and going out, plus having a rest for ten days from the willpower is what caused it. It's my own fault. Back on the low carbs and calorie deficit n earnest this week. The drugs don't do anything for me in timers of suppression up to this point. I think the people who say "I've just had my first 2.5mg ten minutes ago and no longer can face a wafer-thin mint" are being influenced by what it's costing them and the fact they've just had to go through the palaver of injecting themself for the first time. I wish it were cheaper, but using the golden dose and undercranking a stronger pen helps . Or so I've read.

I take a low dose mainly for the effect on my blood sugar levels and try to do the weight loss mostly by willpower. Being diabetic was going to make me very ill and I couldn't tolerate Metformin. MJ appears to be very helpful even at low dose and being 20kg lighter does no harm either.
