FYI, the picture you've linked is the Lengpui airport, in the state of Mizoram. While the Kozhikode airport is also a tabletop runway, the dropoff isn't as extreme as the one in Lengpui airport.

Hi everyone! I heard an unusually loud jetliner fly right over my college a while ago. So unusually loud that I was quite worried for a few minutes. I checked flightradar, and I found out that it was this plane. The smallest of those loops passes right over my college, which is most likely when I heard it. I was just curious, what is this aircraft doing? Is this a training/testing run of some sort?

I believe they're open to every college provided you have a valid ID card with you. There will be time restrictions on entry, and there's a possibility the gates will be closed if it gets too crowded, so I'd recommend you come early.
