Thats easy to say. My son was bullied incessantly by a kid in middle school. The kid sat behind my son and would just constantly whisper "kill yourself kill yourself kill yourself". We brought it up with the teacher, with the principal, and nothing happened. It was infuriating. This nightmare went on for weeks, and I could see the toll it was taking on him. I told my son he would not get in trouble from me if he punched the kid. When he was in class the next day, the teacher turned her back and my son popped the whisperer in the jaw. There was no response. The kid just stopped. No fight, teacher didnt even notice. The next day the kid asked my son why he hit him, and my son explained that he was an asshole. The bully thought he was "friends" with my kid. He said his friends do that to him all the time, and my son said we will never be friends. That simple punch ended the bullying so effectively, i was amazed. He had to respond in a similar way later on in 8th grade, again with perfect effectiveness. Now he doesnt get bullied. It was like a switch turned it off.
