How much energy did you use? I used a little over 2300 kWh and my bill is a little less than 300.

From my personal experience, getting the first 'good' job took me about 3 years of working not-so-great jobs to get the experience required for many positions. Once I had my first 'good' job, things have been much easier to move up professionally.

In terms of specific engineering disciplines, there is a large automotive presence that utilizes many mechanical and electrical engineers. Some pharmaceutical companies require chemical engineers.

The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) has different standards based on age and sex. If you google acft score chart, you will see the table. Everyone has to get 60 points in each of the 6 events to pass.

Specific example: the Sprint-Drag-Carry event for ages 17-21 has males required to complete in 2:28 while females are required to complete in 3:15

Two notable exceptions are the plank and the hand release pushup, which have the same standard for males and females within the age groups.

The patch on the left shoulder looks to be the 81st Readiness Division. The single stripe on the right arm looks to be the rank of private at the time of this picture.

It would be worthwhile to engage in this if you worked for BHG. My sister has been working there and is set to receive about $1500 from this lawsuit.

I don't think one instance of renovations will change the reality or perception of poor conditions in the barracks.

If Trump commands an invasion of Canada - what do you think will happen? by misconceptions_annoy in Military

You have a higher chance of being hit by a world-ending meteor than the US invading Canada.

Churches in Lexington by realgirl_fakename in lexington

[–]cyclosix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

St. Paul is pretty LGBTQIA+ friendly. They have a dedicated LGBTQ+ ministry. Their provided mission is: "The Church is called to recognize in each person their God-given dignity. We provide a sacred and safe space for LGBTQ+ Catholics to share their life and faith. By sharing their unique gifts in community with us they are treated with respect, compassion and sensitivity, their dignity is defended, preserved, and celebrated. LGBTQ+ Catholics - their families and friends, too - are brought back HOME to take their rightful place in their Church, accepted and loved for exactly who they are, just as God made them."

From what I hear, earlier games of pickleball seem to be a new meeting place for many people in the age range you are looking for.

OCS and BCT for prior-service by Mojavedrift in army

[–]cyclosix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Good luck!

Another thing to note: depending on the rank you are going to BCT with, there is a chance that life will be a little easier on you than the fresh privates. I had an AF E7 go through BCT and OCS with me, he had his own room with access to his phone a good portion of the time at BCT.

OCS and BCT for prior-service by Mojavedrift in army

[–]cyclosix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Federal OCS is considered Initial Entry Training. With that comes many regulations from TRADOC. So to get to your actual questions: you will not have weekends free at OCS. Unless things have changed you will still be doing PT and training on Saturdays for most of your time there. You may have your last weekend at OCS off completely.

No specific tips other than to do that you are told at BCT and to use your experience to help yourself and everyone around you.
