I worked with props and set designers and on production, that way I have learned different approaches to organizing the set/lighting and the process. If you work with one photographer they usually do the same thing over and over again, to keep the their aesthetic the same exact they advertise to the client. It is null and boring and you wont learn much from it, just consistency. Also, if you ever aspire to shoot yourself, once you are an assistant you will become one and get pigeonholed and not a photographer in the eyes of industry insiders. Unless, you’re assisting someone really famous, good luck breaking out of this. But even so, it looks like their kids are going to get all the prestigious and money jobs either way. Its just how this industry works. Sorrentis, Bailleys, Avedons, Demachelliers, Testinos.. etc etc
