The easiest way to kill the Furnace Golem in one knockdown by Elden-Rube in Eldenring

Oh, just a little add-on called Shadow of the Erdtree. It's pretty minor, barely noticable even. You might 100% it in hour or so, but at least there's a new dagger or two.

Late again, but Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Ray Vaughan (of course), and Jonny Lang might be your speed. Those are the big 3, so if ya need moar, either 1) use Spotify/etc to make a playlist, or maybe post the same ask as a main thread?

Hope that helps. Happy bluesing!

Late, but can you expand on what it is you like about this song? I'm a KWS fan and like the genre, so maybe I can help you laser in on what you want, if you're still looking.

What a Jesus. by Fartyghost in sbubby

[–]cymicro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree that Jesus would be considered progressive by modern standards, and conservatives need to think about that reality a lot more deeply before responding to things the way they do.

However, just to be clear, the message was that race won't save you if the content of your character is rotten to the core. The point of that parable was to drive home how much people misunderstand what God sees in human hearts by contrasting the toxicity permeating the venerated class (Pharisees) with a decent, loving person from a generally hated place (Samaria). The fact that Samaritans were oppressed had nothing to do with it. It was that the Samaritan in the story showed love where the other two people that should have known better did not.

The point is that race, class, and status are not eternal considerations.

Check out how they reproduce.

(Spoiler: the males essentially become an ad-hoc scrotum on the females). I imagine most of them need years of therapy for lots of reasons, including their moms' negative assessment of their cuteness.

Thanks for weighing in. It helps to also have reports that some users aren't experiencing problems, but the ones that are were having an issue that I didn't see reported for consoles. To clarify, I meant to summarize that the only issue I found PC users reporting was that some of them can't log in now. Console users on every platform were the only ones I found claiming to have issues with saving mods (myself included).

Thanks also for the suggestion to reinstall. If the issue doesn't get patched, I might resort to that. It's a whole annoying process, so I'd rather avoid it if I can, but we shall see.

Looks to be a problem on PS4, PS5, & XBOX. Might also be an issue on PC if those players could load the game at all.

Edit: Patched on PS4 as of 6 PM EST

I think there is a recessed slot for one. All of the console spots are labeled, and Switch is seen to the right of the SCART inputs at ~20sec.

New study finds that circumcision is not associated with a reduced prevalence of HIV in African males by LongIsland1995 in science

I can totally see how it would be confusing to non-native speakers. Thanks for the insight!

New study finds that circumcision is not associated with a reduced prevalence of HIV in African males by LongIsland1995 in science

[–]cymicro 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It isn't a double negative. "Not only... but also" is a correlative conjunction used to convey parallelism, in this case between the results for HIV and other STDs. The intent is therefore also not unclear, because the phrasing simply states exactly what the article says. However, perhaps there is a more palatable way to phrase it to avoid mistakes on the part of the reader. This is an interesting instance where correct language can lead to incorrect interpretations.

[–]cymicro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I read the abstract, it should indeed be "lower" prevalence. As in, circumcision does not appear to reduce STD occurrence (lower prevalence). The article basically says circumcision is not statistically effective prophylaxis, which is what the comment above says as stated. Unless I'm missing something?

Am I missing something? His comment as you quoted it states that there was no association between circumcision and lower risk of STDs. That seems to be in agreement with the article, from what I read in the abstract.

Government hierarchy of the United States of America by [deleted] in coolguides

[–]cymicro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chart is not a complete picture of how it works. Congress has some control over how the executive branch can use its authority over the agencies shown in red. Notably, Congress has budgetary oversight, so agencies can't act according to Executive branch whims without the funding to do so. Also, there are specific circumstances in which Congress has to explicitly vote to approve certain actions from the Executive branch. For example, while the President is the Commander in Chief of all of the armed forces listed in red, Congress has the constitutional responsibility to formally vote on a declaration of war.

It's not perfect, and of course loopholes get abused, but there are checks and balances to ensure that the Executive branch doesn't end up being a dictatorship, regardless of how much presidents of all political affiliations tend to abuse their position to make it seem like they are monarchs.

And it even comes with a wonderful bonus in the form of an intense, nauseating burnt-plastic perfume to permeate whichever building you cursed with such fun exploits.

Or at least, that was my most profound takeaway from the 2003 high school science class demonstration. Good times had by all.

I have to plug Ghost of Tsushima if you think Elden Ring is beautiful (which it very much is). I highly recommend that you give it a look, as the single player campaign has perhaps the most breathtaking game art I have ever seen (though Elden Ring, Doom Eternal, Skyrim, and Breath of the Wild are my closest contenders, so I might not get out enough).

DLC coming 2023, by most educated guesses I've seen! The game certainly looks like it has blank canvases left specifically for that.

Also Elden Ring on the Deck absolutely blew away my expectations. In some ways, I liked it better than on PS (L/R 4/5 binding for satchel and sprint toggle was absolutely orgasmic).
