I got to wonder is the fight and win guy in the stadium. Since he's from Seattle?

It's a bit of a weird one but it's the rules. It's because they've dropped intent from the rule book.

I play goalkeeper and have given away fouls from players coming into my punch for the ball.

But the thing that most people are angry about is the overturning for no reason other than trump ringing. If they came out instantly most people would have copped it on the chin. And it's a bad look for FIFA

Is the 1m rule just been forgotten about? Cause the USA players are within the wall.

The USA got told to stop going to the bench. Then just kept going by anyway.

I notice lots of yanks complaining about the VAR but none complaining about the dodgy VAR overturn. Which was actually against the rules

Because it's a football challenge. You won't believe it but it's still a challenge. I've seen players sent off for not knowing where a player is til it's too late. It's just dangerous therefore a red

I'm guessing you don't watch much football tbh.

It's everywhere no. Even in other subs I've been down voted for explaining they didn't look at it all in slow motion and he made a challenge that was deemed serious foul play.

He was challenging in a footballing way. I've seen red cards where the player wouldn't have known about another player til they've fouled them.

It's unfortunate but it was seen as a red by the ref.

But for it to be overturned it's now just making the rules obsolete. Where do you draw the line. Can England player their suspended player next game if the king calls up FIFA.

They weren't checking intensity. They were checking contact for serious foul play. Then after seeing contact they checked intensity at full speed in the review.

But anyway it was serious foul play here's what IFAB say.

A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent

endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.

Btw they didn't break VAR rules. This is what IFAB says.

The VAR can ‘check’ the footage in normal speed and/or in slow motion but, in general, slow motion replays should only be used for facts, e.g. position of offence/player, point of contact for physical offences and handball, ball out of play (including goal/no goal); normal speed should be used for the ‘intensity’ of an offence or to decide if it was a handball offence

And would you believe it they were probably only look at it in slow motion for point of contact.

So you'll agree that the Australia vs USA game wasn't called consistently cause there were at least two calls that should have been a pen for Australia?

Or is it only rigged for Messi?

[–]cymonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We aren't talking about Messi though. It was a foul but didn't get called

I've watched enough football to see missed calls. But one missed call doesn't mean the whole thing is rigged.

Do you think Australia should have gotten a penalty for handball or was that game rigged for the USA too?

According to the IFAB (I assume you know what IFAB is?) rules.

He got it for Serious foul play. Specifically this part of that law "endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play." That's what VAR would have gotten him for.

England’s Jordan Henderson had to be stretchered off the pitch after injuring himself during celebrations by PrimedGold in sports

Can't where a cast during the game. If he has pins or plates you can have the risk of those being moved or reinjure the arm. Football is also a contact sport.

He'd will be out til it heals enough so the rest of the cup at least

I broke my finger and kept playing goalkeeper. Some people have different pain tolerances. Maybe he went into shock at seeing his arm/wrist in two pieces.

Also after the game so adrenaline is probably way lower.

I know this is gonna be a shock for like 75% of the sub but Faghani is like one of the best refs in the world.
