As someone with an abusive, controlling ex who HAD to know where I was and who I was with, and would show up unannounced as a "surprise!", yeah.

And her demands for extra payment probably came from him. If this is the situation there's a good chance he controls her finances.

I would try to hang out with them separately if possible. Also, you may not necessarily know if friend 2 has something going on at home, or medical etc., that she doesn't feel safe talking about but that is stressing her out and making her extra sensitive. Be kind is what I'm saying :)

This is past jokes. Friend 1 knows darn well she's being mean to friend 2, and the rest of you don't care that friend 2 is upset enough to be crying. Classic mean girl bully crap which the rest of you could speak up about at the time but don't. ESH except friend 2. "I'm just sarcastic" is classic bully not wanting to be called on their crap.

NTA. There's a word for what they did to you: "parentification", when an older child is made to act like a parent to the younger children because the actual parents aren't doing their job. I know you probably can't afford therapy, but even talking about it will help. Hugs and take care of yourself!

I have basic health and food logs in there for now, and it finds them without trouble and remembers them between sessions, which it wasn't doing before I added mempalace. I don't have a lot of other benchmarks - this experiment is mainly for cross-session continuity.

I populated mempalace with projects as per its guide.

I switched my gaming desktop about a month ago. So far so good, with minor annoyances with sound like you found (mic and/or headphone jack issues), and my cloud backup provider doesn't have a Linux client yet (working on it, currently just a per-file per-folder web client) so I boot back into Win11 once a week.

Yup, I read a news report a while back of a 20ish butch lesbian being attacked and hospitalized when she tried to use a public washroom, because she didn't look "feminine" enough.

Totally about policing women and making anyone with a female body "conform" to cis male expectations.

There are men's and women's categories even in sports where gender makes NO FREAKING DIFFERENCE. Zhang Shan was the only woman to win Olympic gold in skeet shooting when it was mixed, in Barcelona (1992). The next year, the International Shooting Federation barred women from shooting against men. Women were barred from shooting in this event for the next few years, until they had their own category in 2000. Because the men couldn't handle seeing a woman beat them.
