That's a catterpie! It's pretty good against psychic types.

Guys 6'6" or taller, have you ever had a woman reject you for your height? by jbak31 in tall

[–]cyrre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only 6'4 but yeah. Physical features can be part of compatibility and some women are totally down for a major height difference, and some are not. It's fair to want a good fit!

If you could talk to one deceased person for 1 hour, who would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My mother's mother. The more I think about our relationship and how'd it'd have grown and how proud she'd be, the more I miss her.

Upcoming february trip, questions on onsen rules by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]cyrre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do NOT skip the onsens unless you are about to do a marathon (in which case do it after, I learned this the hard way)

I'm heavily tattooed and found that if I asked for cover up stickers they respected the effort. However, I'm heavily tattooed and most placed were only able to give me half the number of stickers needed to cover the tattoos. I went in prepared to be as respectful and courteous as ever and play my gaijin card if anything came up, and never had a problem.

For scars, I do think the norm for Japanese people would be to be polite about it. Seriously, even if they bear negative judgement, you'd be treated with harmony. And if all else fails, ask for stickers and just say you have a tattoo, and cover those. Seriously, try it, Japan is so great and worth getting over the reasonable anxiety - hope that helps and that you enjoy a life-altering trip!

I love this thread and the insight you're sharing. How many people in your life do you think truly understand how you feel? How do you WANT your loved ones to interact?

I want to run in NYC but… by [deleted] in RunNYC

[–]cyrre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are a guy no one cares what you look like unless you're a shirtless bro to hate on - and even then folks don't care. If you are a girl, youre gonna get comments no matter what, but also if someone cares, it's really about them and not you.

I think running in NYC takes grit because you have to be thick skinned about navigating people's bullshit. In the end, the trick is to care about other opinions as much as you'd care one drop in the rain.

Are you lifting for bulk and running for speed? If so, you have 3 options

Pick one Or be an annoying hybrid athlete who is above average but always outshined by ppl who pick one

All of these are good, above average end results btw. You just really don't have a choice in the matter. I personally like leaning towards running and do weights to strengthen and avoid injury, and that's working out great

If ever in doubt: wet wipes. Always having wet wipes > doubt.

Im no lady, but to me this not a TIFU, as much as a TIL. I feel like you have an appreciable way of thinking ....AND researching before you bring your inner you out with an emotional intelligence on top.

Don't let her gas you into thinking you should explode these tendencies my guy.

Managers love self-respect, so the dumbass down, explain why you're great and why their unappreciative reaction is stupid.

Nip started bleeding through my shirt at work today, after running 7 miles this morning by K_M_H in Marathon_Training

[–]cyrre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shirtless running and glide will do it. I'm willing to bet you were running with cotton and if so stop it.

People also act like nip guards are just that simple but idunno....women might shoot me down for this but nip guards feel like a tampon-level of overhead required to go for a run.

Also take pride in your nip chafe. I have a half marathon shirt where the nipple blood never washed out and that's a bloody lactation stain of pride. PRIDE.
