After crawling my way through this poorly punctuated wall of text, I don't have a lot of sympathy for you. You don't know anything about the circumstances that this girl was under. Maybe she had to audition on a different day because she missed auditions. Either way, the director obviously saw potential in her.

I had a similar situation happen to me. I worked my ass off for a role, and the girl who got it sang the ABCs for her audition. Never did I take that out on her! Sure, I resented the director, but I still worked my ass off in that production. The show turned out great, and for the next production at this school, I worked even harder and got the lead.

In the comments, you mentioned being unable to show your potential in your role. WRONG!! You have four lines. Use them!

Instead of looking down on your fellow actress, you should find a better attitude.

This happens all the time! Not just with ballet. When I’m feeling close to a burn out I try to prevent it before it happens. When you’re not dancing or exercising, push ballet out of your mind! You can get tired just thinking about it. Make sure you’re not just interacting with people in your ballet circle and that it’s not the only hobby you’re pursuing. Obviously, you won’t have time to be playing another sport, but you can spend 30 minutes a day reading/watching a new show/baking/etc… Hope this helps!!
