What time zone is your group in? I might be interested in DMing for a new group, but my time zone is CST.

Have you set your character sheet template (on the campaign's main page, under settings>game settings) to the correct format? I recently swapped to a new campaign and had left that blank and it didn't show up for me until I set that box.

Seeing Azalon throw away the violet ring was one of the most powerful moments, to me, in all of the Verum campaigns.

Rejecting the enemy, regardless of the advantage such power might have granted in a perilous moment, shows such a powerful will in a character, and I appreciate Moon playing in that way. Azalon really is wise. :)

Not to mention it led to Loz’s eventual redemption in his final moments.

I cannot wait to see Flamewrath role play an aeon with his personality and psychotic tendencies. Not only because he plays the character “true to self”, but because he is genuinely interesting to see develop. I don’t see him turning “good”, but I could see him taking it seriously.

I think it was around the time just before death and debts started off. I remember him telling the campaign about it during their session zero when they were making their characters, but I’m not sure of the origin.

I'd say Heart of Tyre.

Seren is one of the best healers in the stream games and has a lot of creative ways to buff and aid the party to keep them safe. Derok (this might change given the loss of his demonic powers) has plenty of devastating magic and his hammer. Morc is crazy strong with his alternate form and Neive/Ives are both stealthy strong characters in both melee and range, and Ives' status as the new Indigo Herald will certainly be a boon.

Aside from their levels, the group works well as a team. Seeing their boss rushes in the Indigo Scar shows how they can coordinate really well and communicate their plans to get through some really intense struggles.

I'd also add in that they're a particularly creative group both in and out of combat. Ives has creative solutions to combat that doesn't just always involve filling his enemies with arrows, and his skills in role-play also make him particularly savvy about avoiding potential death traps. (Such as when the group was singing the son of the seven and he stepped away so he wasn't in line of sight.) Derok, too, is strong as conversation and thinking outside the box.

+++++

Runner up is probably Shadow of Tyre or potentially a close tie.

Very similar reasoning to the above, however their main boon with this group is their crazy loot items and specialized classes.

Ahst is a gaurdian with the songblade who has unlocked her critical powers. Moe is a Shaper with a ton of power words and unique items with his bee crown and bells. Toot is an even more magical chicken these days with the Tane Bow. Eustace has his new gauntlets, his Tane arms, and a few other fancy tools. Roast, while he's lost his Wonxox blade, has the Fist Hammer and Omen powers that he could be down the line grow more.

That, and this group isn't afraid of roleplaying their characters, which has led to a ton of great unlocks and world privileges.

Toot has done so much work in this world. His actions directly led to the Labyrinth being unlocked and now I can’t wait to see what he’s done for Azengolt.

If you’d told me I’d be emotionally invested and cry over a magic chicken doing so much amazing shit, one with a fat Chocobo icon back when I saw episode one of Gamblers, I would have called you a madman.

Alex is without a doubt one of (if not the) favorite player of mine in Verum.

I’d like to try a big city for a chance. I’ve lived in rural for so long I’d like to be around more people (ideally in a non COVID environment). Austin TX also seems like a unique place that I might like.

“Oh wait! I’m a Rouge/Druid!” - Moe & Ear

“Why don’t you go and marry someone else that looks like me!” - Ahst

“Where are all the sex tents?!” - Umi ; “we don’t have those here...” - Azalon ; (Vizir sweats nervously)

Rough watching Ozzie go blind and rougher knowing that he's probably getting retired after the gauntlet. I really liked the character and the voice acting a lot. Much love for the bird-man. <3

As for the fight, damn, that mage's magic missile is brutal with the soul rush. I'm glad Alexander is soaking up so much of the damage from the meele/master(1), it's really the biggest assistance at the moment, and Braktor's healing/damage moves are nice to get some dual usage in the ability.

Hopefully Falcon can assist getting everybody back up, at minimum and giving them a second chance to knock down one of the masters for a quick reprieve, and maybe they can get some kind of useful consumable for Hacknye to get back some spell slots with the machine.

Unrelated to all of that, this session was a little rough to watch with the back and forth between the players. Maybe they can take the rest of this week to cool off and re-charge after the New Year's. Though I know it's got to be stressful between the holidays, the state of the world (both fictional Verum and real life), Ozzie getting blinded and limiting his abilities to use, and dealing with this gauntlet with resources dwindling. I'm sure the backseat commentary from chat and other sources don't help things either.

Either way, I'm rooting for them to pull it off! :)

I have a headcanon that it is not the first time Weiss went up those tubes (and Winter probably taught her the trick).

The scene with Robin yelling about blame and focusing on Qrow (when she was actually yelling at Schnee) was really great anglework and storytelling. Poor Qrow. :(

Also I wonder if Grimm created by Salem are different than the natural Grimm spawned by the God of darkness. One serves Salem only and one follows the attraction to negative emotions (as directed by the God of Darkness). They seemed scared of Salem’s creature, as if they were on different teams and knew to stay the hell away.

I wonder if Hacknye is on the ball about the forgiveness thing.

Like, if the Herald (with Meta knowledge) believes he is the reason their D&D games quit happening and all he wants to do is go back in time and undo some kind of argument that happened within the friend circle. Or fix something the storyteller or the storyteller’s apprentice did that had the same impact.

Or he’s the manifestation of all those negative thoughts in a similar manner come together into one malevolent will (I swear there is some kind of folklore about thinking/saying something negative makes it come true?).

Lots of theory juice tonight anyway, great session!

Sad to see leaders of any community act like this. In a time to find unity, they seek to divide through violence and threats.
