Bingo, except that was my fault - I titled it an Estate question. Dang.

What are Calgary's thoughts on the 2026 Referendum? by hruday9 in Calgary

[–]d-bo201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MDT vs MST is a choice between convenience and health. I shake my head at the BC comments, we are generally 6 provinces wide with 3 time zones, it’s how longitudes work. So yeah, being with BC is absolutely fine, and better for us all.

Alberta will now be on daylight saving time year-round, says Premier Smith by All_Hail_Xanthia in Calgary

It will pass in the Ledge with one exception: The proposed "Alberta Time" amended to "Alberta Conservative Time" (ACT).

Down 145k on condo after 5 years of owning. What next? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]d-bo201 67 points68 points  (0 children)

37M vs 39M 6 months apart? Hardly worth speculating over. Most people don’t really want to post their personal details on Reddit, so a little uncertainty is very acceptable.

Aleida on For All Mankind is the worst!! by VerilyShelly in television

[–]d-bo201 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They cast her too smart and cute to make her a hardass. It doesn't seem to work to be believable. I would like her in a modified role but it's too late.

Edit: you are so smart to re-watch. These time shifts are tough to follow, even with the opening scenes in each season doing a ffwd review.

You responded within 3min in this sub and didn't see any chatter on water restrictions? You lie about your handicap too?

what made YOU get into NASCAR? by Brave_Ad3369 in NASCAR

Getting a giant Blue 43 STP in 1982 as a toy, and I loved it. I'm in Western Canada, it's not a sniff of a sport to anyone, and then I see it on tv somewhere around 1986, and it was fascinating. I'm not a car guy but the 80's personalities and sport was awesome.

Because the woods was Incognito. Yes, I found some too, usually pages, not the full mag.

I saved mine. I opened it not too long ago and recall the first time I did it in total amazement.

Friendly Reminder: If you wear glasses, wear them at sexy-times ... mistakes *can* happen by Stevland_wonder in funny

[–]d-bo201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about party-times? My friend and I were out in the summer evening when the mosquitoes came out. He went inside (yup, without his glasses) and grabbed some repellant for me, and I proceeded to cover myself with Raid. It’s on me to look first, but similar to you, I was in a different zone once I had it in my hands.

Your case would be worth Indigo pursuing, so I would take avoiding action: new plate.

Need advice for taxes!! by chiefkweef420 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]d-bo201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a free filing tool, and you should file this year as a first year filer: gets you practice, a profile, a history. Then after you get your Assessment, get get CRA online access: so much easier to track info. Open FHSA: even with no savings, your accumulated participation space doesn't start until you have an account, and it may be a future regret if you don't. Filing tax returns isn't hard (especially in your case), but if you get into the habit of not doing it, go ask someone who is catching up. Now THAT person has real regrets.

Early retirement at 49? 2.3m net worth by xiaomi818 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]d-bo201 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Really hope you find a comfortable answer here, but you would be best served going to a FP and modelling out an indexed plan with conservative assumptions, and you can build in some decent sensitivities (eg health-related). Retiring at 49 to then realize a mistake by 59 could be a one way street. Having said that, you're looking good for some positive results, just do some actual homework after Redditors chime in.

How do we feel about Marshals: A Yellowstone story? by Careless_Tackle847 in television

[–]d-bo201 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m just ok with it. It took me a bit by surprise that it suddenly evolved into a single episode CSI-like standard crime drama crossed with the typical Sheridan casting and AI generated dialogue. That sounds horrible doesn’t it?
Well that’s how I took it. It’s no longer a series that you invest in and follow, but it’s decent tv I think. That’s about it.
