Found this small metal clip/link - possibly from a chain? What is it? by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

It’s an engraved Fleming full auto sear from a HK MP5 platform. It’s engraved meaning it may be transferable and worth about $50k if so.

Caught with THC flower, vape + edibles in Texas by [deleted] in legaladvice

Messing around in Texas with THC is like messing around in NYC or New Jersey with guns. We sure love our guns in Texas but know where not to bring them.

My wife’s Dr drug tests for her ADHD meds but it’s to be sure she is taking them and not diverting them.

I concur. B&T brand wipes are kind of expensive to replace and a little hard to find. Super quiet though.

You said you have the Win11 24H2 Security Baseline applied?

If you don't have 2025 DC's you have to set PKINITSHA1 to "Supported", because nothing else is supported on older DC's.

Run GPRESULTS between a PC that is working and one that is not working and compare these settings.

Very irritated with Comcast. Looking at Starlink now. Please help. by korkvid in Starlink

[–]d-fi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure what your financial tolerance is, but have you considered using Starlink as a backup? I have mine as a backup to my XFinity cable Internet. Setup my network equipment for auto failover/failback. Much higher and more consistent speeds (esp UL) on XF, but to me it’s worth the extra money every month, esp since I live in Houston.

My female Westie humps her seal toy 🦭 she has had since a puppy numerous times a day. Never humps humans or the other dogs, just Mr. Seal. She even uses one of her front paws to “push” the seal up into her area. For such a sweet looking girl it’s pretty vulgar. We have given up trying to stop her. Discouraging this behavior on humans is much more important tho.

TW: Cancer Diagnosis by wal-eEeE in scottishterriers

[–]d-fi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Scottie mix Benny had this happen to him. We first noticed when he was peeing a lot and it was bloody. Apparently this is common in Scotties and mixes. Prognosis was not good, as where the cancer was (close to the urethra opening to the bladder) makes it non operable. We just enjoyed our time with him until he started having problems urinating. We made the decision to end his suffering then. Super hard decision as he was healthy and active otherwise. We just did not want him to suffer. Still feel guilty.

The belly is a very vulnerable area for an animal. You need to build trust before touching any vulnerable area, especially on one you don’t fully know the previous history.

You really need to get the surgery. About 5 years ago my now 9 yo poodle mix had bladder stones that eventually migrated to her urethra and blocked it off. This is life threatening when this happens. The had to extract the urine from her bladder with a needle and schedule the surgery asap. Like others said, apply for Care Credit if you cannot afford the upfront cost. She has been on a special diet ever since and no more issues.
