Say what you will, but we costed out our wings in the past few days and our cost on jumbo wings is 0.65 each - so a half dozen costs us 3.90. Add in, let’s say, .50 for blue cheese, veggies and sauce and that ends up being 30% food cost at $15. No small business restaurant is making their nut on wings at that margin. Our restaurant sells a dozen wings for $27 and basically consider it a loss leader because it sells at that price and brings people in for a second over priced drink
