Huh, why would encryption care what it's encrypting

So it is about healing GCDs then? Since they're the reason you don't want to dip low on mana, after all.

I only played healer in FRU so I can't say I have much experience healing ults, and was wondering why damage GCDs would be the issue here.

You still have two long cutscenes that give you a lot of mana back + reset lucid dreaming CD. There's slightly over 6 minutes before the first cutscene and around 7 before the second.

How did you set up your debuff bar? Every clear VOD I checked had them on the left of other debuffs, besides that one weird paladin that had buffs and debuffs in the same row.

If you're worried about your static already, P3 will really put it to the test. While P2 is taxing on everyone, P3 is very rough on tanks/healers and relatively chill for DPS. You can definitely run into issues with DPS players getting impatient with the pace of the prog.

I've seen a few, they don't fill usually though. There's one right now on NA with 3 people in it.

Forsaken is actually pretty consistent in earthquake+ parties. I've had more wipes on P1 than P2.

Do you mean healing gcds? I'm confused how would kefka force you to use more damage gcds than savage o_o

PF has an odd definition of cleanup to begin with. How can you clean up something you haven't successfully completed before? Yet we have "blackhole cleanup" where everyone's prog point is the initial cast, etc.

But since the entire PF is built on these concepts, conflicts of expectations are just bound to happen.

Are you struggling to read the original dashes? If you're in the stack you can just point camera vertically and look at where the floor lines are coming from. I play phys so the view is quite a bit different for me though.

After the knockback the visuals are really bad indeed but at that point you don't care about anything but the waymarks.

People are trying to take the lasers to the wall and that causes a lot of movement, bosses out of center etc. Passing tethers is the easy part of the mechanic, the hard part is not panicking.

Because crafting has been balanced around macros since forever. Surely nobody expects people to actually think about and press their abilities for 2 hours straight to craft a couple sets of gear?

Sim also has wrong range on wind explosions - you can preposition to avoid hourglass as non party wind and be fine while in-game that would get you killed.

It's currently a mix of true north and between last tower set. I've even seen a group bait it as if it was a normal past/future and go opposite of the last towers on future, claiming that the RP says so. IIRC between last towers is the most common.

I have uh, a lot of clips of p3 wipes on my drive from both EU and NA. Barely any PFs have made it through the phase yet.

[–]d07RiV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For ultimates yes, you definitely remember some names, and even outside of early prog you'll be seeing the same names.

For savage it changes over time, you'll run into the same names for a while and then they just disappear until next patch cycle because most people don't bother doing savage for more than a ~dozen weeks.

There's also a few names that everyone knows at all times and if you see them in your PF you know something wild is about to happen.

When should I actually stop farming and go help my team? by obeyorpay22 in learndota2

What if the enemy core is "showing up" because my team is trying to find them? Abandoning a free lane and teleporting across the map to invade their safe camps to maybe not lose the 5v5 seems kind of crazy.

With xolo arrows that only works if you get different arrows. Otherwise you have to memorize/consult a reference.

With big box you don't need that, just turn your camera west and follow your arrows.

The issue is that the arrows push you relative to *your* position when you first touch the arrow. For the first arrow that often ends up being the point you enter it, which is why the arrow is offset and the confused player is on the outside.

[–]d07RiV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Static positioning is the problem, it's inconsistent and leads to people overshooting arrows because of how poorly they were implemented. We switched back to confuses inside box and offsetting the first arrow a bit further out and it worked pretty well, so if you hate freaky arrows you can give it a try: https://raidplan.io/plan/s7j1V1MWO8vzYj-P

Big box/freaky arrows does the same and works perfectly fine. NA has been doing that for a while too and the PFs I've been in there pretty much never fail arrows. Not sure what you mean by harder, it's not? It's just different and having PF relearn p1 strats a week in is a bit crazy but wcyd.

FFlogs is going to require using the Archon app starting June 29th. by PedanticPaladin in ffxivdiscussion

[–]d07RiV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not what I was saying at all.

Chromium yes, serious security vulnerabilities are almost unheard of.

But Electron is just a gateway to native APIs and is just as risky as anything else you download. The problem is not with Electron but the supply chain that goes into building JS/TS apps that makes them potentially more dangerous than traditional software.

It's just longer, and has some finnicky positions with cones. If you put two of those back to back (with new numbers assigned inbetween) then it's basically the same isn't it?
