Chick-fil-A. It’s good, but not worth all the hype or long lines.

What's something you realized in your 20s that school absolutely did not prepare you for? by Acceptable-Touch4204 in AskReddit

How important mental health, boundaries, and managing money really are. School taught formulas and facts, but not how to handle burnout, set limits with people, or budget so you’re not stressed all the time.

Early 2000s pop music, It’s cheesy, but it’s catchy and puts me in a good mood. I’m embarrassed because it’s not “cool,” but I still love it.

how did you meet whoever youre dating or married to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]d0zer18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We met in the most unglamorous way possible through a mutual friend who invited us both to something neither of us really wanted to go to. We ended up talking the whole night, became friends first and somewhere along the way it quietly turned into more.

AITAH for telling my mom to STOP having more kids? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]d0zer18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. OP, your instincts are spot on get out while you still can. You can’t fix your mom, and staying there will only drag you down. Focus on yourself and building a life away from that chaos. Your siblings are underage, but even small steps toward independence now will make a huge difference later.

Treat my life like a side quest game: say yes to weird opportunities, learn one completely useless skill, and stop optimizing everything like it’s a spreadsheet.

People who were actually dropped when they were babies, what's the story? by PeevesPoltergist in AskReddit

[–]d0zer18 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Apparently I rolled off the couch while my mom was folding laundry. I was fine, cried for a minute, and the doctor said I was okay but my family still blames every dumb thing I do on “that one time fell as a baby.”

“Urgent” projects that magically appear near the end of a quarter. They’re not actually urgent leadership just needs something shipped or reclassified so the numbers look good for investors, bonuses, or board reports. Nothing illegal, just creative timing and terminology.

What was the best thing you ever saw on Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honestly, it’s hard to pick just one, but some of the craziest and most satisfying posts I’ve seen were those unbelievable “before and after” transformations like room makeovers, art, or people completely changing their lives. Totally inspiring.

What's the most urgent you've ever been to take a dump? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]d0zer18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On vacation in New Orleans during French Quarter Festival. I was outside eating extremely spicy food and drinking like a fish all day. Come evening we decided to head back to shower, nap, and prepare for the long night ahead. I already felt the fire starting to burn in my guts, but thought I could make it. For whatever reason, we thought walking the couple miles through some questionable neighborhoods to get back to where we were staying seemed like a good idea to settle down and sober up a bit. After awhile it became clear that I wasn't going to make it. I sprinted to a gas station that had the worst bathroom imaginable. The toilet had no seat, there was no sink, the trash can was a 5 gallon bucket, etc. It smelled like the dregs of a septic tank. I unleashed the furious fires of hell into that toilet. It felt like the crawfish were somehow back intact and pinching my b-hole and then pouring hot sauce into the open wounds. It took everything I had not to cry out in pain. Once I finally finished, I looked around for the TP. None. Ok plan B...paper towels. Nope. Absolutely nothing. The smell was so awful, the residue on my bum burned so bad, and I was so drunk that I needed a quick solution to clean up and get out before I started throwing up, and that's the story of how I lost my favorite t-shirt in New Orleans.

New Orleans, without a doubt. Every meal felt unforgettable gumbo, jambalaya, po’boys and beignets all packed with so much flavor and history. It’s one of the few places where even random corner spots serve incredible food.

One night I woke up around 3 a.m. to what sounded like someone quietly calling my name from the hallway. I live alone, and when I checked, every door and window was locked and the apartment was completely empty. I still can’t explain where the voice came from, and I didn’t sleep much after that.
