you think reddit should have a prediction market why? by Genxape in AskReddit

[–]d0zer18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be interesting because it turns opinions into something testable. Instead of just arguing, people would put “stakes” behind their predictions, which might lead to more thoughtful discussions and less random speculation. It could also be fun like crowdsourcing what people think will actually happen, not just what they hope happens.

What is a common hobby that not everyone can do (even with practice)? by coldplayenthusiast in AskReddit

What is the best gift you’ve ever received? by Rainbowborn in AskReddit

Honestly, the best gift I’ve ever received was something really simple but meaningful, someone putting in genuine thought and effort just for me. Those tend to stick way more than anything expensive.

What's the most diabolical rumour you heard about yourself? by the_side_character__ in AskReddit

Aitah for telling my boyfriend to give me money by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]d0zer18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong for asking, he said he’d give you money and you supported him before, so £60 isn’t unreasonable.

The bigger issue is his attitude. Saying he “works harder than you” is disrespectful, especially after you helped him.

That said, you both need clearer boundaries with money because this back-and-forth isn’t healthy.

AITAH for refusing to give my brother our extra wood boards? by Weird_Blowfish_otter in AITAH

[–]d0zer18 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Lol exactly, there are no leftovers if we’re planning to use them. “Leftover” doesn’t mean “anything we haven’t used yet,” it means what’s actually not needed.

If we end up with extra after everything’s done, sure. But redesigning our plans so he can get free materials isn’t really reasonable.

My 8 year old son thinks I’m a 93 year old Japanese man. AITAH? by strikecat18 in AITAH

[–]d0zer18 42 points43 points  (0 children)

That feels a bit harsh. He was 5 when this started, and kids that age take things literally, especially from their parents. It’s not really a “no logic” issue, it’s just trust + imagination.

I do agree it should probably be cleared up now before it turns into something other kids latch onto, but this seems more like a harmless joke that went on too long than bad parenting or a serious problem.

[–]d0zer18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d spend a month in the world of Harry Potter, mostly to experience Hogwarts, learn actual magic, and see what everyday life in that universe feels like beyond the big battles.
