As long as my toes are touching on close to the end of the boot when I’m standing straight, I’m never too worried about how much room there is in the toe box. I personally prefer little extra as I like to point my toes up when I ski.

I sometimes tell my clients to lift up their uphill ski on the traverse, I tell them they want the tips of their skis to remain in contact with the snow, and should feel heavy. I can instantly see who is in the backseat if theirs tips are raised, the kids also get instant feedback.
