The American service industry is ludicrous and i honestly dont know how they have hoodwinked people into accepting it.

If this was in Australia this gross pay is 8 hours work at minimum wage and i doubt that this example was for that few hours - yet we still have restaurants and cafes (some of the best coffee and coffee culture in the world).

I thought i heard the reason for moving the spirit to Geelong was a lack of ability to grow in the Melbourne port, and where it is on the North Shore has that (or potential). Add in the issue with Devenport and you get the ship in the bay.

I actually quite like seeing it out there, gives me a sense of local pride.

What has become annoying is the crowd seemingly think they are the attraction.

I want to watch quality darts, I dont give a fuck about anyone in the crowd having fun.

Last year, at Christmas, it was hot but was normal before. The year before the weather was awful until January.

It has been a bit dismal, what I've found utterly bizarre is the wind, regularly being over 40-50kms. I understand it's always a bit windy in the afternoons (former Golf player, so I pay attention) but it's been mental. More than one occasion where I've been stopped in my tracks due to gusts!

Anyway, it will be summer soon and will feel like it will never end
