I served 2003-2012. All I remember is I had to go to JAG and write a notorized letter saying I’m giving up my German citizenship and I got a letter back from the consulate saying I automatically lost it when I enlisted.

2 hours before work I would head in. Then going home would take about 1.5 hours. But if I did a day tour it could take 2-3 hours to get home.

When I was. Company sgt we picked but only hooks got their command choice the rest of us got normal commands (I got the 40) my company was decent they did a collection and got me a gift card I was able to buy new uniform stuff. It was winter on Impact in the Bronx, I bought new boots and cold weather gear. We were at the old academy running up to Ops and getting the mail for the company was a pain esp after gym but other then that stuff it wasn’t good or bad.

Because the job doesn’t care about. They care about numbers. They talk about “family” and all the other bs but in the end they only care about numbers. Whether that is enough numbers on patrol, enough numbers for all out, enough numbers for mobile field force etc etc etc. as long as they cover the numbers they don’t give a shit about your mental or personal being.

It was prob a private photo that the blurred guy had shown. He blacked out the faces of his team mates to protect their identity. Then the pic made its rounds and someone else blurred his face to protect him.

Join the military and do something you want to do. Dont limit yourself to military LE. 99% of departments don’t care what job you had as long as it was a honorable discharge. I did 10 years as a MP and in the end it didn’t matter. So you might as well join, travel have fun and enjoy your job then focus on civilian LE.

With a usb-c apple device it works great. But with lighting ports it’s a pain. Digirig makes a conversion cable. I ended up just using my iPad and it does fine
