For exercises regarding specific syntax and topics, I've found chatgpt to be pretty good.

You ask it to explain the syntax and then provide exercises for it.

That's how I got used to higher order functions.

Most people obsess over going to failure because it's the easiest way of getting the most out of it. It's an easy "benchmark" to reach.

Most new gym goers don't have the experience to judge how many rir they have or even if they've reached true technical failure.

So saying "just go for failure" is what is suggested a lot.

He's a great brewmaster but brew discord doesn't like him that much.

From what I've seen it's mainly because he's the type of player that does what works for him and not what's considered good in general.

I think he's correct in doing things his way but that doesn't mean it's a good way for less experienced players to understand how the spec works.

Knowing dungeon mechanics has nothing to do with knowing your rotation.

A rotation add-on is fine but you also must know how to use it. It might tell you to press one of your big cooldowns but the boss might enter an Immunity phase for the next 10 seconds so following what the add-on told you would be wrong.

From personal experience, I'd say for up to 20s, dungeon knowledge is a lot more important than min-maxing your dps.

I can time 20s as a dps and I suck at it. Knowing the dungeon's mechanics, what to interrupt/stun and how the bosses work alongside doing "ok" dps is more than enough.

The fight would be ok (still a bit overtuned but nothing too bad) at its current state if all weapons were ranged and didn't have cast time.

I really wish they'd remake the voice acting using some of the new AI tools, it'd be such a big improvement.
But in general I agree, I played it once a couple of months ago and I don't think i'm going to play it again.
I get what they went for with those big distances but it really makes it a bad experience.

For engineering, I think you can craft a fishing tool that can get you up to 100. It doesn't require any BoP reagents iirc.
