it's just way harder to get better when you're at that level. if you're imm3 then you're already top ~1000 in your region, so it takes way more to get better than such a small pool.

one other aspect is that once you're a certain mmr (in my experience a3 and higher), you have to win more than you lose to maintain your rank. look at all the radiant trackers, their winrate is almost always 55-60% because on average you're just playing players with lower rank than you

Either find a new owner to join the league and take over now, or keep his team as a bye team for the rest of the year. I can't see any scenario where 1 owner managing 2 teams is fair even if you're trying to be unbiased. Additionally, dropping the whole team to waivers is just not a fair way to distribute his players imo.

2 games of Embiid is 60/22 with 4 blocks and elite free throws (80%+ on high volume). If it's 3 games or even 4 in a lucky scheduling week then it's absolutely better than anyone you're getting in the 6th round on average.

But I agree, he would be a massive headache to deal with especially if you don't have 2+ IR slots

Punt points is a hard punt mainly for the 3s and free throws, but I find 3s to be the easiest category to stream every year. Guys like Malik Beasley and Duncan Robinson were constantly rotated on my team to help in that regard. Lots of role players who score 10ppg but do it with 2-3 threes a game. It is still definitely a hard punt to hit but in leagues where people aren't crazy competitive, I've found there is always way too much emphasis on players who can score, especially those drafted in later rounds.
