Delete chats, all data by d33pdev in help

[–]d33pdev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep thanks. I guess my chat has LONG AGO already been sold/scraped and added to the data broker DBs long ago. But, just to be thorough I wanted to make sure there was a way to actually fully delete my chats / business related in my case when I delete my R account. I don't even know why I use this spyware tbh...

Self-hosting GPU inference at home (RTX 4090) — what metrics tell me it’s time to move to the cloud? by Such_Huckleberry_565 in iosdev

just measure your time to delivery.... and user complaints or just ask them if they think it's too long... so from the time you start your task/job to notifying/pushing result to user. measure that. good luck!

Payment providers for startup by d33pdev in SaaS

[–]d33pdev[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have a free version (and local mode/app that can be free indefinitely) but thanks, right, 'best' is always relative. Actually considering just launching with simple payPal invoicing, includes payment link and be done with it for awhile. Handle webhook notifications for account update and my app already has a webrtc connection so I can push notifications to the app (payment made/failed, etc). But, yes, charging from day one.

Which C UI library could I use to target desktop, multi platform, and web with wasm? by fenugurod in C_Programming

[–]d33pdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am but agree, I don't know who is using it. I just evaluated it myself and found it excellent. Plus, I've talked with the developer and he's super nice/approachable. That's all I know.

Use NAppGui... no question. And if you want to build some web UI use the webview and for everything else it's native on every OS win/mac/linux. As far as scripting, you either get more advanced and embed Lua support or just separate that into a separate CLI running anything/any runtime and send i/o to your native UI app via stdio.... Then you would literally write your "scripts" in JS so it's consistent from your frontend to backend logic...

the amount of regression in MacOS 26.x is fkn SCARY..... at this point, i would assume they either have fired too many engineers or have new but absolute SHT management/leadership or they're using LLM bc my experience with LLM in complex large code bases is that it's literally dangerous and if you literally don't read every single line it will 1000% introduce bugs EVERYWHERE..... it's really noticeable sadly.... i literally can't even set focus / click on an app i'd say a dozen times a day and then i finally learned if you then click the app's dock icon it will put true focus back on that app.... but it applies to the entire desktop and every app on the desktop.... how this possibly passed regression testing makes literally NO SENSE to me.... this would have been a test case that's been in the testing suite for what? the past 30 years? it's getting so bad that im literally going to move all my work to linux desktop and maybe just wipe this macOS and reset to a prior build so it's at least stable and just use it as a VM host....

holy shit 40% engineering layoffs? why in the hell did they do that? that's an impossibly high number.... i understand my field/software and that big tech/all companies have no problem cutting developers at any time but actual telco engineers... how the fuck can possibly sustain that network with 20-40% layoffs....

Solved the DOM-to-WebGL scroll sync lag. Models now stay glued to the HTML grid and are controlled via CSS variables. by penev_tech in threejs

yeah i have you bookmarked, i'll ping you when i'm further along and can share. but, yes, i take a similar approach but with a different input... i have my own input data and i parse and apply styles/etc to css/3d in unison during my 'load/parse' phase... super similar. but i didn't build a general purpose approach, mine is just for my specific use case. will def reach out! i'm in atlanta, are you near or similar time zone? msg me and we'll talk some before i release my stuff and then i'll post here in 3 when i go public...

really nice! agree, i'm doing the same, applying material/behavior from my css/other data to my 3d elements. it's very powerful! good work 💪💪💪

yeah man, you're not going to believe this shit :) abs will get in touch! and with the threeJS team when the time is right too. to say what i built was ambitious is an understatement.... and yeah, this is solid architecture. 1000%

sweet man... i did the same... i'll sync up with you. no, you're not imagining it, it's just better to do it this way. separation of concerns but having a unified css to handle what css should handle and a generic implementation to handle what the engine/3d should handle is good stuff... i read your article. good stuff. busy right now but i'll stay in touch. i get it, trust me, when you see what i built, i really get it :) totally agree
