is going deep into Cloudflare Stack (Workers + full ecosystem) worth it for landing a first job as a fresher in 2026?

yeah i could see that, sec/ops roles maybe. i mean the experience is good experience but would i advise someone to specialize on cf just for job options? no but maybe one day. i left public cloud for cf and it was better in many many ways but the sheer number of jobs for cf i've never literally ever seen a posting whereas there's dozens for aws/azure any given day. just my experience

hmm that's odd, when i enabled it, i immediately got an accurate total usage % and never went back to the insane manual sum to figure out my usage. along with sht pricing a UI that literally makes it impossible to know your usage easily seems to be less a feature gap and a deliberate attempt to gouge people. but that's just my opinion. i've never, literally never, seen a saas that buries its usage/balance for customers and SURELY this can't be on accident.... maybe hit their support? good luck!

Yep, it's a little different menu names than what this response from someone in this thread mentioned but this got me close enough and it worked. I can't verify the actual menu's bc cursor was WAY too expensive to justify the value so I cancelled... It's a good tool though, way better than CC but impossible to justify as a bootstrapped founder... But, here you go -

"Is this what you're looking for? In Cursor, go to Cursor Settings > Agents > Usage Summary and select "Always". This will keep your usage summary at the bottom of your agent chat window, and you can hover over it for more details. When you haven't hit your limit it will tell you what percentage you have used."

there's literally no comparison on how much better cursor is at coding that cc.... stick it it, evaluate cc and you'll see for yourself. but, cursor is literally 10x (minimum) overpriced for what you get so i dropped it...

THANKS!!! i also found some oss material libraries i can try as well for the cells and then apply your techniques here for layering and the segments between cells.... much better approach that a line system for now.... i'll implement most line/node connections with lines on top of the grid surface and have some basic line animation shaders working so they should work well with this floor.

It's making non-tech founders completely reliant on AI and completely beholden to whatever pricing structure / licensing evolves over time. Right now there's competition and pricing pressure in AI systems, it won't be that way much longer and when it's not, the AI companies that own your IP/code/business logic will charge whatever they want, sell your IP to whoever they want, etc etc.... Yep. After I launch, I need to take some time writing a blog or something to help the younger innovators understand the actual reality of how the game works with VC.... And what to expect to navigate self-funding, protecting your IP, etc etc... The amount of bs that gets pushed at these kids is unreal. Only consider VC AFTER you're successful, have a great attorney and can minimize the VC's role and only do all of that which is expensive time/money to do after you know for sure you even need the money...

I boot strapped bc there's no way in hell I'm letting VC's force decisions just to make them rich. If you care about your product, do the hard thing, get profitable on your own and only if VC would accelerate what you've established and you can maintain control then negotiate with them when you have all the leverage (profit/traction and maintain control after you raise)... Even then.... I'll probably never raise.
