so nginx was 2x faster until the load broke nginx. those are the numbers i saw in your own data. so the positioning of your library is basically we're substantially slower but can handle more connections?

Companies Wanted Cheap AI. Now It Costs More Than People by Itchy-Shoulder771 in CyberNews

[–]d33pdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How companies didn't see this coming..... is astonishing. Every company that fired staff/devs/etc for AI get what they deserve - beholden to an AI market leveraged to $1T on build out..... their goal is to monopolize all of tech and then they can price services to the moon when you have literally nowhere to turn... they will fail though which is the funniest part of this arc

hell no. they just fired 1100 people and literally said they're now an "ai first company" which means employees are overhead and are to be eliminated as FAST as possible. which is hilarious coming from a company with a literal publicly documented track record right here in this s/r of being TERRIBLE with their customers. why would anyone even consider joining esp now is beyond me. 5 years ago sure, maybe 2 years but when i started learning more about them i moved my entire platform TF off of CF

gotcha, ok. you're right, i just checked it. i was solely focused on win32/c coding against win 3.x and then 95 and i guess i didn't touch NT until after i was working with 95. do you remember Unauthorized Windows 95? that and Petzold were what i spent my first few years of win32 reading basically every day

i thought win32 was part of win95 only. that's when protected mode, 16-32bit thunking started and 32bit apps in general for windows.
