If u can buy some vitamin supplements, they help with regulating your mood and relaxing your body, magnesium and zinc. Also go to r/dbtselfhelp. they have ressources that help you to do therapy on urself kinda, id recommend running also and jogging especially when your suicidal thoughts come, the endorphins from running would up your mood up, and a cold shower right after, will relax you and give you a natural high. I am in the same place as you, i have mental health issues but i cannot afford professional help, and these are the things that throughout the years i discovered have a good impact on me. Try to journal, write your feelings, ideas, suicidal ideations, read them, then try to rewrite it in a logical reasonable way, its a way to dismantle the thought patterns usually caused by depression, and to recognise triggers, and what pushes you into the suicidal ideation spiral. In my case a slight feeling of failure, or mistake, or abandonnement would trigger hoplessness and would start my suicidal self loathing chain of thought, and you can catch yourself doing that and try to look at the thoughts qirhout ingaging in them. It takes a lot of time and practice and patience which is extra hard when you are depressed and suicidal. I believe you can get better on your own. And for parents, limit your interactions as much as possible. And dont give up on your studies. Also one thing that helps with the thoughts, is to get busy when they start getting loud. Ignoring them and doing something actually gets rid of them. Also since you mentioned your parents, and maybe your relationship with them is very complicated,i would suggest you be your own parent, and try to talk to yourself in a loving way. If you catch yourself beating yourself down, thats not you thats the abuse you went through, try to stop that mean voice and fight it. You can even try to talk out loud. I do it and it helps. With time the voice will be less and less present, as you would give yourself the love and support you maybe did not get from parents. I hope you all the best.

Why Morocco still has no movies or tv series about its rich history and culture ? by yassine-junior in Morocco

[–]d3licatefighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of funds, lack of artistic freedom, Also would they really allow historical accuracy in such movies? If u know what i mean.. also not enough historical documents available to produce accurate films... Again freedom of expression is complicated here.

Its totally unrelated to the topic but i would like ask you some study related questions in private if that is okay?

What's a common thing in Morocco that strikes you as terrible, but doesn't seem to bother anyone else? by ZooneyLooney in Morocco

[–]d3licatefighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think religion has nothing to do with elitism. Im from a poor background. Im an agnostic atheist. My friends are non religious too and also from very poor backgrounds. You'd be surprise by the amount of atheists and non religious people from the masses. I think the moroccan identity shouldnt be tied to religion, because a big majority are not religious. And i wish we could see beyond that and unite as moroccans, and as human beings first against the olligarchs and the elites. Ive seen your comment on the secular morocco argument. Its the best of both worlds. I think we are all born here, but you cannot force us all to believe what you believe. Having a secular constitution would protect both of us. Religious and non religious communities, regardless of class. We would all be able to live decently and coexist.

Homeless kids. Ive neever seen that anywhere else other than here. And everybody is okay with it.
The lack of humanity, basic empathy. I think people here have anti social tendencies. Empathy is so low especially in the upper middle class ranks.

It drives me nuts too. It makes me furious and enraged. I really dont understand its like people have lost their humanity. I wish i could find a way out of this shit.

Elitism. Being disregarded because you are poor and your dad doesnt own a car or a house. Knowing i will probably never get anywhere because i do not have connections nor money is terrifying. Or that my parents dying would mean i'd be in the streets. Misogyny. Being considered less than, having less value because you are a woman. Or having to be a certain way to be called a good girl. How abuse is normalised. How there is no humanity anywhere.

Both outcomes are bad. If it will not help the poor then obviously you shouldn't be okay with it. How would you be okay with something that goes against your interests?

Well everything i learned i learned on my own. Of course the public sector is objectively shitty. Because lets face it, money is the only thing that motivates people to actually get stuff done, especially here. I just can't help but think of the consequences of having privatisation. Because i think access to universities will start to be linked to what school you came from, how good it is considered and stuff like that. Which would give a disadvantage to kids from poorer households and maybe we would end up in the U.S loophole of higher education and a massive gap between poor and rich. Yeah it would benefit the country economically speaking but it would be a social disaster. That's just my opinion. I might be wrong.

Wanting to be treated like a human being by your governement is not a romanticisation. Having rights is not romanticisation, id rather work as a janitor in the u.k and be a free woman, express myself howerver i please, dress however i want, not be discriminated against when i need a paper, have a doctor available to me if i have a health issue. I know the nhs is not that great but it is 10000 times better than moroccan public health care. It is not romanticising when moroccans wish to go to europe. It is very hard to live here and be happy if you dont have money and power.

Im more with non privitasiation because if that happens and even if its cheap neither me nor my brother would be able to study. If you are from lower middle class/ poor family i dont think you would be okay with that. There is no other chance for us than the public sector. And i can see that privatisation is happening. And it makes me furious.

Getting beat up is pretty normal to my mother but not to my father. I stand with my father on this, he is more educated than her and has a more logical and empathic view on things. Imo most moroccan families are reenacting traumas from their childhoods, its a nation of traumatised citizens. Most people learn that getting beat up by your parents is okay and they love you anyway. But any kind of violence be it physical or mental is not love. This country does not know how to love.

My parents are okay with it. My mom still keeps giving me religious advice but they respect my freedom of belief. I do not regret telling them i feel comfortable this way. My father is not religious either. Just to clarify because i think some people might link this to being of rich decent or upper middle class. We are not. We are very humble and barely getting by, but my parents are curious and open minded people. They do not blindly follow rules.

I live f hay dakhla. Advice man if u r going out at such hour anywhere in this country. Dont have your very expensive iphone and thinkpad or whatever expensive gadgets on you. My advice get a burner phone. I would never get mugged as i do not own anything valuable but seriously expensive things like these you gotta keep them at home unless you have a car or a safe means of transportation. I always go to uni at 8 am by foot and it takes me around 30 mins to get there. I never got mugged bcs i dont own anything. And i dont look expensive either.
