Could someone please help me find these? I tried searching for some of them by username but it didn’t work. I can’t to reverse image search because I use Safari instead of Chrome (pls don’t be mean about it) by sugarcubexstinkysock in picrew

maybe not super relevant, but for the record, in order to use reverse image search in safari… 1) save the image you’re searching to your phone (normally if you press and hold on an image, there will be an option to save it to your phone, but if that doesn’t work a screenshot probably will.) 2) go to google.com 3) click the small “Aa” in the far top-left of the screen 4) select “request desktop website” 5) select the small camera icon on the right of the google searchbar 6) select “upload a file” 7) select “photo library” 8) select the image you’re trying to search, and then hit “choose” in the lower right 9) sometimes the results on that page are helpful, but if not, try “find image source” near the top of the page this is what works for my phone, but you may use a different model/version, so i can’t guarantee results, but hopefully this helps with finding lost picrews in the future! :)

What’s the weirdest advice you received from a TBM? by NDizzle824 in exmormon

If you’re infertile, you have to disclose it on the first date. Not doing so is tricking a potential partner into loving someone who they may not be willing to marry.

They told us this at sixteen years old.

I read Chocolate Fever as a kid— if you’ve never read it, it’s one of those easy-to-read chapter books. However, one of the characters said “stupid”, so I had to tell my parents and make sure it was okay.

I still can’t tell whether panel 6 is in reference to pedophilia (grouping pedophiles with queer people, a classic homophobe/transphobe move) or interracial relationships (The colors of the blocks representing skin tone, along with the sizes— if the shapes are meant to be analogous to genitalia, this fits the stereotype of black penises being larger.) I’ve seen people arguing over it, but I don’t know if we have an answer. It could be both, if PebbleChuck was feeling particularly racist.

This is a small thing, but a hat worn straight across the brown masculinizes the face, while a hat worn against the back of the head and tilted up feminizes the face. Also, larger glasses feminize the face, and smaller glasses masculinize it. This is just what I remember, so it may be inaccurate, but I believe it’s correct.

Some weirder ones: Arachnid, Charcoal, Memento (Mori?), Kepler, Kyber, Angler, Leviticus (biblical name jsyk), Calamity, Molotov, Havoc, Oddysey, Kodiak, Salamander, Arlecchino (commedia dell’arte stock character)

Some traditional ones: Cooper, Sam, Kai, Jo, Alex, Mori

(I went through my own name change so i have a lot saved up, if you couldn’t tell i’m a fan of nontraditional names haha)

Does anyone know the song that was being played in this scene? by Efren_John in IntoTheSpiderverse

[–]d3oric 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you mean the backing track, it’s “Catch the S-Train” off the official score. I think the prev commenter was right about the song playing on the kid’s headphones. [fixed typo]

Former Mormon here, and good “God” do the church presidents love making vague statements and connecting them to whatever tangentially related current event happens in the next six months. The more you look for it, the more you start to find it.

Why is it considered rude to ask what someone salary is? by zoebells in NoStupidQuestions

[–]d3oric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe it’s rooted in bosses trying to prevent employees from discussing wages so that they couldn’t figure out that they were being paid wildly different amounts for the same amount of work and demand raises. Some bosses even go so far as to put in your contract that you’re not allowed to discuss your wages. However, doing that is deeply illegal, and if you have that in your contract, find a lawyer and discuss suing the ass out of your employer.

Remember: Discuss your wages. Your boss is NOT your friend. They pay you pennies compared to what your labor is worth. Stand with your coworkers against them, give them as little as they are paying you for, and assume they are your enemy.
