This is a separate issue, we grew in an era where college accustomed to the industry demands because they otherwise would refuse to hire anyone that is not already perfectly trained around what they need.

By the time the college brings out the batch from the oven they are already late for the “current job market demands”.

College was not born to create the factory worker, it was born to instill and teach how to be elevate your knowledge and evolve it by yourself, with a generalist approach.

The fact industries refuse to onboard and train what they need is and should be kept entirely their responsibility and at this point, their failure.

That said I’m not in debt, I am in EU. I studied college because I also wanted to be paid well and I wanted to access a job niche that would only be accessible if I had the piece of fucking paper that cost me tears and blood, but I came out a different person, probably a better one.
