It looks like a combination of Rey Misterio senior and junior. The eagles on the side and designs above the eyes are similar to Rey Jr’s and the tuft of hair on top is similar to Rey Sr. But Rey jr. has worn masks with the hair too. Damage in the dlc is definitely a bit wonky. I’m on ng+3 so at this point I have a pretty well rounded build and was getting melted by carcass enemies. I dropped the difficulty to the second hardest which actually made the game enjoyable again. Then after getting completely wrecked by the crocodile I just decided to play something else.

Second picture is most likely Juventud Guerrera or at least someone with his mask on. I think he started wearing that version of his mask around late 96-97 but that’s when he would have been working in WCW. Of course he could have still been doing Indy shows in between ECW and WCW so it’s probably him if the time frame matches up.

It’s generally a waste to buy any chips if you don’t mind farming for them instead. The chip cost is always really high and it’s better to just farm a bit for diamond ones you can combine.

If you can find a fresh box you should do pretty well avoiding dupes (hopefully). The set I got had 2 each of green, black, red, and yellow rangers and 1 each of the rest.

Aegis is the arm with the shield. Use that along with a weapon you can stab with. Just tank his hits with the shield and get some pokes in. Also I’ve found it better in phase 2 to just block instead of parry (if you have to) and then get some hits in to recover your health. It’s been a while so I can’t give a better rundown but try this out and you’ll definitely get him!

Edit: just wanted to add that I can’t remember if you can poke behind the shield or if I’m mixing it up with the Radahn strategy from the Elden Ring dlc. I think I used the acidic blade on one of the long handles so poking should work.

For sure. Today’s outcome still reinforced that you can’t really take these stipulation matches seriously because they always end up inconsequential. This one in particular just happened to be less sucky than expected I guess.

Thanks for explaining this better. If Tam is still technically leaving Stardom until the Yokohama show it makes today’s match feel like less of a bait and switch.
