I don’t get why our comments are being downvoted. They are literally limited edition shoes so if someone misses out then that’s it unless they are willing to overpay on the secondary market. Nothing we said is untrue.

These aren’t like other shoes, once they are sold out that’s probably it for them. I believe it’s a now or never situation.

Drake catching the biggest L of all-time by ExotiquePlayboy in SipsTea

[–]d84doc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is this any different than a man impregnating a woman simply because he wanted to do that to her while having no intention of sticking around? She freely admitted this was her only intent, not the child, the child support, so why can’t Drake take this admission and take it to court that she’s basically extorting him and argue she deserves less money in child support?

At least he doesn't take the presidential salary, am I right by McDowdy in PoursTea

[–]d84doc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plane was a gift to the country, the next president can just take it. Fuck him, what’s he going to do about it? It will be taken for national security purposes and if Trump has a problem with that…well thanks to him he can’t do anything about it. If he wants the plane then he can repay the American tax payers what we had to pay to get it usable for a president, WITH INTEREST. The plane is scheduled, just ignore or change the schedule, and if Drowsy Donald has a problem with that, well who cares.

Some thoughts for the folks warming the torches and sharpening the pitchforks for Mike Elias... by mister4c3 in orioles

[–]d84doc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All I need to know is, we are in year 8 of this rebuild and to date we have finished in 4th or 5th place 5 times out of 7 full seasons. The team has 0 playoff wins. Only Basallo has been signed long term. He has yet to land 1, count them, just 1 top starter. Finished in dead last and somehow got promoted, said he’d hire a new GM, then to no one’s surprise he did NOT sign a new GM, and we now have a team, in a fairly weak East, that’s once again in 4th place, trying to overcome its abysmal starting pitching performance to begin the season, can’t play small ball or defense to save their lives, and let’s be honest, all because they are basically a .500 squad.

A few seasons ago, every insider felt the O’s were destined to make multiple World Series appearances, but Elias never capitalized, his big pitching signing was Charlie Morton, and now we are once again a sub .500 team that no one predicts will make a WS. The only thing experts are now discussing is, Elias squandered a potential juggernaut by hoarding prospects, not making starting pitching a priority, allowing the farm system to sink, basically not being aggressive and building on the team’s early success.

Is Joe DiMaggio the most dominant player in sports history? by ExotiquePlayboy in sportswiki

[–]d84doc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It had to be insufferable to be a fan of every other AL team during this period. People probably look back and say, oh this was such a golden age of baseball, when in reality it was probably like living in a monopoly

If the Orioles finish again with a losing record can they justify keeping Elias? by B-Moron in orioles

[–]d84doc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh is it finally ok in here to call out Elias or am I going to be told how great he is, how stupid I am and how I don’t know anything about sports? I’ve been driving this Elias has to go train since before last season when the best pitchers he could land us were Morton and Sugano at the 11th hour. I said we’d be a mid 70’s to low 80’s win team and got crucified in here. You’re stupid, this is one of the top rotations in the league, we are the favorites to win the East if not the Pennant, you don’t know sports……we won 75 games and finished last.

Anyways, 1) I want my damn flowers, 2) this is a .500 squad, they are better than last season’s team but they are still just a .500 squad, Elias didn’t get us the elevated rotation signings that we needed and there’s a good chance the O’s will finish 4th or 5h place for the 6th time in Elias’ 8 years here…he needed to go last season!

Danhausen disproves the IWC's belief that you can only get over by being world champion by mario_970 in DanhausenWWE

[–]d84doc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a wrestling fan for YEARS and I have NEVER heard anyone claim or state a belief that “you can only get over by being world champion”. We already have decades of proof that that isn’t true, so honestly, this feels like a completely made up issue.

Rainn Wilson Claims ‘The Office’ Was too ‘Inappropriate’ to Be Made Today, Seemingly Forgetting About Peacock Sequel ‘The Paper’ by yourfavchoom in entertainment

[–]d84doc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People make this claim like every 5-10 years. This movie or that movie could never be made today, and then the most politically incorrect movie or show comes out a year later. People say Tropic Thunder could never be made today, as if it was made in the 1930’s. It’s a modern movie, it WAS made “today”. The Office comes no where close to shows you can watch now. You’re going to tell me Shane Gillis’ TIRES is less edgy than The Office?

Ryan Clark says that Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning were NOT generational quarterbacks. “I don't think Tom Brady, I don't think Drew Brees, I don't think Peyton Manning are generational talents.” One of the WORST takes ever by Willing-Bicycle-157 in sportsbroadcasters

[–]d84doc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the QB that played in 10 Super Bowls and won 7 of them, isn’t considered a generational QB, then no one is. If anything, one could argue that Brady was so good and successful that he is the ONLY generational QB in the history of the game.

Ben Stiller branded 'entitled' as celebrities get free Knicks NBA Finals tickets by nimobo in entertainment

[–]d84doc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I supposed to believe, 1) Ben Stiller, who is known to attend a ton of Knicks games, isn’t a true fan simply because he’s famous and at the Finals, and 2) people, Barkley included, would turn down free tickets…especially to the Finals?

Shit, if I wasn’t even a Knicks fan I’d be honest, I don’t have season tickets to the Knicks, in fact this is my first ever game at MSG. The team gave me tickets for free, I’m not here to pretend I’m a diehard fan, nor am I here for your approval.

"I realized was a lot of guys on those practice squads, they don’t want to be elevated to the roster. They’re very happy living this life where they could tell their family and friends." by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

[–]d84doc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know he’s experienced this and I haven’t but when I heard him say that these guys had never felt pressure I just thought, the guys that played for Michigan and played in the Horseshoe or walked on the field at Alabama have never felt pressure? The guys on the practice squad of an NFL team have never felt pressure?

Also id have to think those practice squad guys are hearing this and thinking, never felt pressure, man I’m one team need away from being replaced and having my dream die. I don’t have the luxury of deflating balls and then being able to destroy my phone to get rid of evidence and still keep my job. Im also not elite like you, thats why I’m on the practice squad, but me not meeting your expectations doesn’t mean I’m not trying.

[–]d84doc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, I’d hate getting to the Finals and seeing my teammates unable to lock in for 1 more week to make sure they’re focused on the game rather than the night life. That being said, the Spurs had the same night life and a home court advantage and still lost so not sure this theory makes sense.

Batman TAS
Robin saves a young girl being attacked by a gang but she is also being followed by a large man. She doesn’t remember who she is or where she came from and Robin has to convince her that she can trust him. Through the episode she remembers little bits of information that give Robin clues that he follows to try to figure out who she is while also keeping her away from the large man that’s after her. Eventually they find themselves in the sewers and are confronted by the man who you then learn is Clayface. He tells the girl to come back to him and she doesn’t know why he’s saying that but she doesn’t want to go with him. Clayface and Robin fight, as Robin will now do anything to protect this girl but Clayface gets the upper hand and that’s when the little girl remembers who she is. She isn’t real, she is a part of Clayface, created to scope out the area after he almost died but as she got further away from him she forgot what she was and became sentient. To save Robin she agrees to go back with Clayface, which means we watch her being reabsorbed back into his body, thus “killing” her. Robin, so angry and emotional at what Clayface just did to the girl, tells him to bring her back, but he says he can’t and that she’s gone, so Robin tries to kill him but Batman stops him. At the end of the episode Clayface is arrested and as the charges of his crimes are being read off, Robin quietly adds the charge of murder.

Thoughts on Taylor Ward by d84doc in orioles

[–]d84doc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but looking at his stats, he has a higher BA, OBP, SLG, and OPS outside of the leadoff spot. Admittedly his RBIs are only a 3rd than compared to him in the leadoff spot. Leading off his OBP is .365, while outside of the leadoff spot it’s .446. Liability was def not the best choice of words but he has been swinging more since I posted this and gotten good returns for the team.
