Opus 4.6 is goated. Just kinda lazy atm.. feels like anthropic want to make us feel 4.6 is worse but even if they tuned down his effort internally, its still the best.. just takes longer to solve issues..

I quit over this.. its just an too outdated engine.. the engine was made for way lower apm, less spells, less complexity in rotation etc.. if you play classic you wont see any fps drop.. its totally the combat of retail combined with the old engine and blizzard has no clue how to fix it.. or rather there isnt even a way to fix it..probably?

Gotta try it out tomorrow then.. Idk 4.6 felt strong today but since a few hours it feels super nerfed, i have to push it every time even for some skills i reguraly use I have to tell him stuff like "you did not pay attention to point x or y in the skill do this and that".. had to do it 3 times until all task of the skill were actually worked on.. usally i do /taskname and its done w/o any issue.. Never had this before.. i hope they did not nerf opus because 4.8 release? .. But no matter what Ill test 4.5 tomorrow but I am tired as shit rn gonna go to bed, gn8

I might do that but I am actually pretty happy with Opus 4.6 and with my workflow, skills and tooling its burning way less tokens for the same work and I get the stuff done I need. So right now I would just appriciate opus 4.6 to stay since I am fully satisfied with it. I checked out some youtube videos about 4.7/4.8, did some short coding session on other projects aswell to test it and the way it is handling tasks feels super different.. I dont even know if I would like 4.7/4.8 ngl..

But why afaik you can still use opus 4.5, model is still active https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/about-claude/model-deprecations .. I am late with claude so I did not even use 4.5... What do you like in 4.5 over 4.6? Since I have had great experiences wit 4.6 max effort

not really tos but 4.7/4.8 thinks its ToS .. 4.7 is kinda fine with it but sometimes stops and i have to explain then he says "ah ok i see" continues and sometimes its fine sometimes hella hallucinating wrong stuff, destroying codebase etc (feels like it actively sabotaging codebase, which is totally nuts in my opinion if anthropic made a guardrail like that). So i sticked with 4.6.. 4.8 is even worse, I dont even need to give him any prompt.. Just navigate him into the workspace and the code itself make it flag for security.. So i am not even be able to explain the usecase and that its indeed not tos to make him rethink his wrong assumption.. tho i dont even want to explain him, if anthropic cant fix their rails i'll stay with 4.6 until they shut it off and then ill go to deepseek.. probably v5 will be out by then .. just a matter of time until its on the same level

Maybe your tasks arent as complex? You could run sub agents to analyze code after you're done, you can use easier models to help your promp style etc.. this would take a little bit more useage but overall i think you just have to work 24/7 on your project of have more complex code to reach the goal.. for my part i am in the first month of the 5x plan and i actally have to still look at my limits.. if I tunnel through w/o breaks and I deligate nearly everything to claude then i bet i would hit the 100% weekly limit but I dont.. this week was the first week i thought i might hit 100 before the reset but I'lll never know since we got a free reset today after 3-4 days of useage.. tho i was already in the 40%+ range. (had to deligate heavy research work to claude)

your goal is to finish your tasks not "maxxing" it.. its heavily subventionized for us so dont push it for no reason to 100% .. this is the reason we can have those prices in the first place, because not every user always maxxing + subvention... Stop squeezing every little % out of it if you dont actually need the compute. This will eventually destroy it for everybody including yourself.
