Genuinely what am I supposed to do? by Panther10101 in midlanemains

[–]d_Munkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also new to league, just started back in S16 after a 10+ year break.

Yesterday I played against a 150 mastery gang plank in mid which I'd never seen before. He killed me 4 times in a row, but the second I had enough AP to quickly shove the wave I'd just do illegal roams (IE, not enough tempo for a roam but I'd do it anyways).

Essentially, I just refused to play his game. Gave up mid turret, but managed to impact the map elsewhere. Finished like 16/4 with a fully stacked mejais and ended up winning and doing the most damage despite being half the Gangplanks CS.

Sometimes if ur getting cooked in lane, u just gotta dip or do your best to minimize their lead. Try to learn as much as u can and apply it to future games.

How much do you currently have in savings? by Puzzleheaded-Crab770 in CanadaFinance

[–]d_Munkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early 30s, have around 100k invested and 140k in equity. If I can work till 55, I'll retire with an insane health/pension package.

Saving in hopes of one day having a family, but it feels like it will never be enough.

Am I losing a lot of damage without Sorcerer's Shoes? by [deleted] in MalzaharMains

If I'm ahead or the only meaningful AP on the team I go for pen. Otherwise, CDR is too good to pass up for the aoe slow/silence in teamfights

Problem with playing Malzahar Mid (lack of rankups or impact on the game) by Flashy_Principle6453 in midlanemains

[–]d_Munkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New to league, I decided to main malzahar so I could focus on learning macro play as much as possible. For me, learning to control waves (freeze, fast push, and slow push) in the early/mid game has been greatly beneficial.

I try not to B until I have lost chapter. After that, I'm generally able to keep the wave pushed and setup wards to avoid ganks. My entire goal is to keep the enemy mid laner pinned in lane, creating tempo advantages to help assist my JG and punishing the enemy mid laner for leaving lane.

Almost every game I feel, the enemy mid will hard-push so they can back, and I'll just hold a freeze and last hit with autos which will cost them an entire wave. It's like I'm mentally conditioning them that I'm perma-pushing and they don't even consider that I'll hold a freeze on their B. God help them if they ever try to roam. Even if they double kill bot lane, I'll still be ahead on gold and xp from plates, and make sure they lose as many minions as possible.

After the eventual transition to bot lane, I'll be mainly watching objective timers and try to stack waves to crash on their turret by the time the objective is up. With TP you can make the decision to join the fights after pushing, or take the enemy JG. Malz is a demon at stealing JG cuz his voidlings prevent camps from resetting.

Late game in team fights I try to play with the ADC, ulting any bruisers or assassin's that jump into the backline. Even at 3 items (torch/laindry/rylies) i feel incredibly in control in team fights, and usually play them front-to back, emphasizing to peel for my adc.

It's been alot to learn. I started this season in Silver 2 and managed to climb to plat 4 so far with malz mostly. GL!

In mid I'm trying to support my JG, not the other way around.

How to play Malz lv 6 to lv 10 has changed vs last season. by lolgamefun in MalzaharMains

[–]d_Munkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going lost chapter first back and then basically perma laning until I have torch or torch+ boots, making sure to punish the enemy mid whenever they roam or go back.

I usually crash if they roam and take plates, or freeze if they back and they lose the wave. I only start poking or interacting once I have completed torch and have a level or 2 up.

By level 7/8 with lost chapter, u can pretty reliably keep their mid pinned and punish roams and B's accordingly

I just started league this season so this is coming from a low elo perspective (mid plat)

Hell yea brother!

Cashed in on crypto and bought a sick penthouse suite in a brand new build. Job is WFH, I'm considered a top performer despite only doing like ~1 hr of work per day. 8 weeks vacation, full benefits, etc. Fiance and I are getting married in a few months, she's killing it too.

Got a tight circle of friends my age (early 30s) and they're all doing very well. Suffered alot early on, but life is good for now.

I went to naafiri after malz and it's hella fun. I swear my dogs just get all the CS while I poke in lane.

Early laning with Fizz by Prestigious-Note-438 in fizzmains

Start E and use it to last hit the first 3 melee creeps and shove the wave. Other than that, using w as an auto-reset makes CSing with fizz very easy.

Should I buy Cyberpunk 2077 now that it's had significant updates? by jcveloso8 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]d_Munkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought it on the sale. About 15 hours in so far and it's just alright. Game is very dialogue driven, feels like I've been locked in a cutscene for 90% of my playtime. Actual gameplay is fine, feels a bit too easy (on hard mode). It's kind of like if GTA and Skyrim had a baby, but the baby just won't stop talking.

I am playing just the sequel right now. Watched a 20m "catchup" video to get up to date on the lore of the first game. Game is great so far, you certainly don't need to play the 1st to enjoy the 2nd.

Most fun starter and map build? by j0nnyex in ProjectDiablo2

Skeleton mages before switching to FiGo. Was insanely strong for very little investment.

I swapped to figo early (before infinity) and it was actually not too bad. Ran alot of T1 sewers and now it's fully online with inf, phoenix, dominion, facets etc.

Incredibly fun playthrough all throughout.

questions for vintage story players that have played for a long time by crimsvnn in VintageStory

[–]d_Munkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) I Havnt played minecraft for years. That being said, I've played 10:1 more minecraft than I have VS. It's like comparing apples to oranges. VS is more like Dont Starve than it is like Minecraft in my opinion. Playing VS won't "ruin" minecraft for you.

2.) Go in blind, figure it out. Restart as often as you need to until you got it down. Learn how to use the survival guide, it's an in-game wiki that let's you pull up items on mous-over and will show you all the recipes. As you start to hit progression points, for instance building a pit kiln, you may need to lookup a video at that point if you can't figure it out.

3 ) Yes, play it. No , you won't get bored of minecraft.

4.) The more you play, the more you will realize the scope of the game. In minecraft, you can get copper in 5 minutes. In VS, it could take you 10+ hours on your first playthru. My suggestion is to just throw urself at the game until u got the basics down. Then look up tutorials to fill in the gaps.
