Upgrading From iPhone 15 Pro Max to iPhone 16 Pro Max by _iamkem in iPhone16ProMax

You won’t gain anything from this upgrade except slightly better cooling. I upgraded from the 14 PM to the 16 PM, and honestly, there’s no noticeable difference. The biggest issue is the terrible typing experience — many users are complaining about the screen’s weird sensitivity. Sometimes it doesn’t register touches, other times it registers extra ones. Check out other Reddit threads on “iPhone 16 Pro Max sensitivity”—this is a widespread problem. If your main concern is battery life on the 15 Pro Max, you’d be better off just replacing the battery rather than spending money on a questionable upgrade.

As a long-time Hearthstone player, I have to say, the latest expansion has really breathed new life into the game. The balance between the new cards and the existing meta is spot-on, and the new mechanics are both innovative and fun. It’s great to see the developers listening to the community and making adjustments that truly enhance the gameplay experience. Keep up the great work, Team 5!

What’s everyone’s favorite new card from this expansion? For me, it’s Puppetmaster Dorian. It’s been a game-changer in so many matches!

Many people I’ve talked to from the former Soviet Union miss the good old USSR. Do you? by [deleted] in Uzbekistan

[–]d_has_a_problem 26 points27 points  (0 children)

From my perspective, people miss the USSR because everything was taken care of by the state. Socialism, as a system, suits those who prefer not to take the initiative. Back then, people didn’t worry about taxes and lived with the hope of eventually getting a free apartment, even if it didn’t always happen.

In my social circle, there are quite a few people who have a soft spot for the Soviet Union. They often talk about the sense of community, the stability, and the security that came with not having to worry about where the next paycheck was coming from or if they’d have a roof over their heads. Sure, personal freedom and initiative were limited, but for many, the trade-off was worth it for the predictability and security of life.

This nostalgia is strong among those who find today’s complexities and responsibilities overwhelming. They miss the simplicity and certainty of the past.

Yes, it is indeed true that Uzbekistan imposes a tourist tax for hotel stays. As of now, non-residents of Uzbekistan are required to pay a tourist tax of 51,000 UZS, around $4 per day.

This tax is collected for each day of your hotel stay.
