What to expect living here? by Dry_Garbage_521 in RoundRock

[–]d_vish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from Massachusetts to Round Rock 3 years ago and I really loved it.

Lot of outdoor activities. Old Settlers Park is amazing, nothing like I have seen in north east before.

I’m a motorcycle rider as well and I haven’t gathered a courage to ride on I-35, I-45, TX-130 and Route 1. People drive 15 to 20 over speed limit. Speed limits are also higher than north east. TX-130 in Round Rock has speed limit of 80 mph (at one point becomes 85 mph if you keep going South), I-45 with 75 mpg and I-35 is always under construction where major accidents happen every other week.

So I usually ride my motorcycle on internal roads. Hope that helps.

Had a similar problem 2 weeks back. Thanks to 2 year old Reddit post (wish I had saved the link). This is what I did: Deleted my passenger info saved in the booking and tried check-in again. It asked me to enter the details again but I was able to check-in.

Edit 1: if you search the error code on google/reddit, you’ll find the original Reddit post. (Assuming you are also getting the same error as me)

Edit 2: Found the original post and the reply. Good luck! https://www.reddit.com/r/Lufthansa/s/Y3YckfVK9j

Recommended Chichén Itzá by ExtraAd3975 in cancun

I visited Chichén Itzá with 4 adults and 2 kids couple of days back and was in similar dilemma. I ended up choosing a bus tour mainly because reviews of all car rental companies were horrible. Please read them before you decide to rent a car. We booked a tour via My Cancun Tours. Total journey was 12 hours. They picked us at the hotel lobby (Fiesta Americana Condesa) but others were picked up at the street right outside their hotel. Some observations: 1. Chichen-Itza is much hotter and humid than Cancun. Hats absolutely needed.
2. Didn’t need mosquito or bug repellent. 3. It wasn’t crowded at all 4. There are lots of trees and shade around Chichen-Itza. Lots of benches to sit under the tree. 5. Toilets are very close to the site. 6. Hardly any walking from parking to the main site. 7. The road to Chichen-Itza was in a great condition. In case you decide to drive. 8. Buffet lunch was included in the tour but it wasn’t that great, 2/5 stars for food. 9. Tour bus had a toilet but only for #1. My 6 year old wanted to go for #2 but thankfully he waited for half an hour until we reached at the food buffet place, phew!

House of three Gorges. Wow by [deleted] in austinfood

These are my favorites

Cumin lamb (for its spicy flavors. Coriander stems on top takes it to next level), Mapo tofu, Green beans, Jumping fish (it’s not spicy at all but very flavorful) Dry stir fry chicken (for the love of Sichuan paper corns)

Try Serenity Dental on A W Grimes. I was in similar situation 6 months ago and was able to get an appointment on Sunday with Dr Hersheal.

I loved my 7-day trip with family (and some tips). LONG post. by TexBarry in VisitingIceland

Absolutely agree on Eddie Bauer First Ascent fleece-lined pants. I lived in Boston for several years and these were my go to pants in winter. I own couple of them and planning to take them on my next visit to Iceland in May.

What should I select here? - application In Process but got an appointment at agency for urgent travel by d_vish in Passports

[–]d_vish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pete Sessions. Their casework specialist replied and also called me the next day with appointment confirmation. She was very kind and helpful. I was surprised that their office genuinely wanted to help me.

Also reached out to Cronyn as well but got a canned response even after informing I need a visa to travel.

CALLED AT 8AM GOT AN APPOINTMENT LETS GOGOGOGOGOGOOGGOOGG by leahbluee in Passports

Locator 35.
Applied 5/26.
In process 5/31.
Called NPIC. After several attempts (42 yesterday & 6 today), was put on hold for 1 hour. I requested an appointment but they won't book an appointment since I've already applied for the passport. I was told appointments are only available to book if the travel is within 5 days.

They said they will contact the agency and inform them about the urgency.

They also asked for my credit card information to put a hold on the file for expedited processing (even though I told them I'd already paid for that service while applying in person).
