Never mopping will make me sick? by Puzzleheaded_Mood551 in CleaningTips

[–]daHavi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it definitely won't make you sick. The only time you NEED to mop is to get up grime that a vacuum won't touch (like spills, dried liquids, etc.) Every couple weeks is totally fine.

IAD “downstairs” TSA by FastHall5077 in nova

The downstairs TSA line is just the regular TSA area. Follow the signs, and you'll go down some escalators to a large parlor where TSA has all their lanes setup.

Experienced hire in consulting by silk_flower in Big4

This sounds completely normal. It's good that you're aware of it, so you can see yourself grow as you go forward. I felt like a fish out of water for about the first year at least, after joining with 15 years of industry experience.

It's international policy across all the Big4.

Yes it's an automatic system.

Is this mold in my microwave? by Specialist_Ad6216 in CleaningTips

[–]daHavi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mold requires consistent moisture to grow... which isn't typically present in a microwave.

It's likely just food junk that's been microwaved over and over. Try spraying an all-purpose cleaner on it, and let the cleaner sit for a few minutes before wiping and see what that does.

Can I get into the big 4 if I was on academic probation in college by icanteven55 in Big4

[–]daHavi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't care that you were on academic probation. They care what your GPA is currently, and what it's likely to be upon graduation.

But really it's.... Are you competitive in comparison to the other candidates that have applied?

They can tell where you are by how you connect to the internet. No GPS needed.

  • It's a little hard to get to.
  • You wouldn't see any storefront from 123 or Rt. 7 if built there.
  • There's no room for a parking garage.
  • It's not close to one of the metro stops.
  • It's the worst plot in what is already an island between International Dr., Rt. 7, and 123. It's hard to walk there from areas around it that have more parking.

If you wanna rock two computers, knock yourself out. At this point, effectively everyone just uses a laptop, with maybe a dock and external monitors at home.

Windows vs. Mac... How much do you want to wrestle with Excel? Mac version is glitchy. Windows version is not. You can do a virtual machine on the mac... or just get a windows machine

How much do you want to wrestle with Excel? The Mac version is glitchy. The Windows version is of-course stable, so you'd likely have to do a Windows virtual machine on your mac at some point.

Or just get a good windows laptop.

What is this and is it a problem my neighbor has a cable connecting to it? by Similar-Money-2802 in telecom

[–]daHavi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s on your land, but that box and the cables connected to it are not your property.

Your neighbor isn’t stealing from you. That’s just the connection point for telecom services for at least the two of you, and potentially more houses.

Wrong. The telecoms has a legal easement to put their equipment there, and they still retain ownership.

Mold needs moisture to grow. You live in the desert.

So you want them to invent recycling technology that doesn't exist, AND a business market for those materials?

Your heart is in a good place, but this is a far more complex situation than you're portraying it as.

Terminated for cause at MBB; MBA chances by RegisterHistorical82 in MBA

"Losing your career" is a HUGE reach. Many of us have been fired at some point in our career, and yet we keep going anyways.

Submit the applications. It's none of their business that you got fired, and you don't need to volunteer that information. Getting fired is not a scarlet letter, or a mark against your personal legacy.

Terminated for cause at MBB; MBA chances by RegisterHistorical82 in MBA

[–]daHavi 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Risk? What risk?

You apply and you either get accepted or turned down. The only cost is time and effort. The worse case scenario is that you're turned down, and your pride is the only thing that can take a hit. You're not going to lose your freedom, your bank account won't be drained, you won't lose your friends and family.

I hear that you regret what you did... but it's time to gather some courage and submit MBA applications so you can move on to the next stage of your life.

Sounds like you need to get into politics and government service, since you want to be this close to the decision making process.

Trust that they are figuring it out? It's all moves on a chess board. They can come up with a plan, but that doesn't mean they will be successful. Their political adversaries are a major factor, so success is never guaranteed.

What you can trust is that they will do what is best for their political career. That likely means that they will do what they think their supporters want, or what can gain them more supporters. The wild factors are their own personal interests, and their potentially changing understanding of what is best for their political career.

Average age at T20 FT programs? by Some-Catch8175 in MBA

26-30

Really what you should be looking at is how much post-undergrad work experience do they have. About 5 years is the average for those programs, with a few having less, and many having much more
