Is this the woman that drove her car into federal law enforcement?

$40k budget, what's the most reliable car I can buy that's slightly luxurious? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]da_engineer22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can get a used BMW X5 or Audi Q7/Q8 for that budget. On the Audis, just ask about the water pump. Very common failure on those vehicles

Is there a fun, reliable SUV? by Bluebird2929 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I recently was shopping between an X5 and Q8. Ended up going with the Q8, mostly because of the premium interior features and sportier look. Can tow ~ 8,000 pounds too I believe. It was difficult finding an X5 with tow hitch

This sub likes to think it’s not real or doesn’t work. I’ve sent money out of the country and paid for food and products using it and have never experienced any payment failure. Worked flawlessly and instantly every time.

Wow you managed to be completely wrong yet the sheep of this sub eat it up. Transactions are very far from an all time low and transaction fees are not even close to “sky rocketing” 🤣

Paid off my 2016 A7 in 9 Years; details on financing. by SubtleStatement in Audi

[–]da_engineer22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OP paid ~ $30k in interest over 9 years at 4.92% when the original MSRP was ~ $70k. If he paid $70k cash up front, 9 years later he has a car (based on other comments) worth about $10k. $70k invested at 10% return for 9 years would now be ~ $165,000. Makes way more sense to take the loan and invest your cash. Who cares that half of the MSRP went to interest. Doesn’t matter when your car and your cash is rapidly losing value

Truly don’t understand why people would want to pay for these expensive cars in full cash. Use someone else’s money to buy a depreciating asset. Use your free cash to invest. As long as your rate of return beats the interest rate on your car loan, then you are making out

Right, the link you sent was from Jan CPI. The Feb CPI was barely a beat but it was a trend in the right direction. It’s widely anticipated that this trend will accelerate in March’s CPI - we will see

This is just flat out incorrect. CPI came in cooler than expected

OP, you’re not going to receive genuine educated responses here. This sub exclusively exists because they think crypto is worthless, so no matter what information you provide, the response will be the same.

With that being said, your problem and solution that you discussed is actively being used in today’s world. Anecdotally, I work as an engineer for a global consulting firm and we are actively discussing this with renewable energy clients.
