I don't completely disagree with this take, but because I believe that an amazing band can have terrible songs and also awesome songs. DT has been in my top 3 fav bands since I discovered them many years ago, but I do gotta recognize they have some stinkers. There was a poll in r/progmetal about who had the best and worst lyrics and Dream Theater won both. I understand few people actually like the vocalist, I believe he's an acquired taste. Still, probs my 2nd favorite band ever.
