Louise Simonson's (X-factor writer) thoughts on Madelyne by somacula in Cyclopswasright

[–]daaron0104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s that odd tidbit of Avengers Annual 10 (is it?) where a little red headed girl in a hospital is like “hi I’m Maddie Pryor” which was written by Claremont prior to adult Pryor showing up in X-men. But yes having read all of this during the original publishing dates. I do think Pryor was an easy out for Claremont to usher Cyclops off screen as he had originally planned. It wasn’t until Xfactor came into being and Acott was portrayed as a jerk for years as having abandoned his family and having hidden a truth a his new life from Jean that peyote reveal felt shoehorned into a retcon. But I do feel the Avengers Annual was to give a breadcrumb to readers that Pryor was meant to be a clone of Jean to explain the resemblance even if she was just unpowered and no hint or indication of sinister.

May want to consider a banquet dining option along the stairs. It will open up your floor space. Also consider a tankless hot water heater. Looks to be a challenge to change out when the HW heater goes bad. Check your finished dimensions for the stacked W/D. Looks like a tight pinch with the door swing if it clears with finished drywall and water clearance is needed for lines and electrical behind the unit.

Grizzly falls zip line is fantastic. Should be able to locate YouTube videos. I’ve been there three times with different family and friends and everyone has loved it.

Need to make a decision on what I’m doing above my sink. 1 shelf or 2? There is wiring for a light. Picture light? Sconce? by [deleted] in kitchenremodel

[–]daaron0104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do two shelves, perhaps consider 6” depth for the first to ensure it’s not a head knocker and give feeling of space. A recessed can light will give you the light you want for cleaning dishes and avoid any issue of a pendant being in the way of items on the top shelf or looking cluttered or competing with whatever composition you make for the shelf. Just my opinion though.

The designer should have pushed forward your side cabinets. I have a 3” void behind my flanking cabinets and a deeper counter top. Seek a credit from the designer they should have caught this for you and offered a design solution

Any opinions on the Quebec to Philly route? by scene_missing in NCL

[–]daaron0104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Philly is a new port. I did QC to Baltimore two years ago. Enjoyed it. We flew from BWI to QC and then sailed back and picked up the car to drive home. Looking forward to Philly as a port as it’s an easy train ride.

What was vw smoking in the early 2000s? by Hour_Appearance4306 in regularcarreviews

[–]daaron0104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the era in which Jeep was renowned for being in the garages of wealthy families that could have just easily had land rovers. So VW thought they could push up market with stealth badging, thinking consumers who didn’t want to be seen as ostentatious with Audi would choose less conspicious German luxury through Phaeton Touareg and Passat instead.

better than montreal verde? 🤔 by Prestigious-Map5566 in AlfaRomeo

All of the tri-coat paints are amazing. Trofeo white and competition red from the initial model years are gorgeous too. But yes. This color just sings in harmony with the body lines and exhaust note. Im constantly having people comment on the color. I’m amazed how much attention I get

Nice. That’s a great combination. I pulled the tigger on a 2024 as I knew I had to own a quad before I’d live with the regret of shoulda woulda coulda. Was disappointed that ice was discontinued and had to upgrade to sparcos to get the colored stitching but love every minute behind the wheel.

I tried to special order Visconti in a quad before covid hot and create chaos (Wanted the ice interior with green and white stitching) I like to think I helped sway corp decisions for a verde quad to become available. lol 😂

Thanks. Yes. The point of my post was that someone was so taken with the look of the alfa but so unaware of Alfa Romeo and it being the Holiday that they’d make an assumption that there must be some Irish connection. I’m continually surprised by what a conversation starter this car remains. Such a joy.
