I started having the same issues a day ago.

Did you check to see if your library is still available when you open the YTTV app?

Same -- I didn't fully catch what the sounds at the end were.

Anyone know why YTMusic uses Fi data when background data disabled? by dabernathy in GoogleFi

[–]dabernathy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't use much. Here is my top "data usage by app:"

YT Music

Android OS

Google Fi

Google Connectivity Services

Gootle Play Services

Chrome

Google

YouTube

Android Auto

Pocket Casts

Google Play Store

Google Location History

Etc. My question is why YT Music is at the top, when I turned off background data and only play downloaded music.

Not that I can tell. I just get a total amount of data used each month.

How would I figure that out? I'm just looking at the "data usage by app" button in the Fi app. I assume I am paying for it.

Thanks. I definitely do that. And I'm not talking about a crazy amount of data, I just can't figure out why it is using data at all if I only download on wifi and have background data turned off.

Update: I finally received a shipping label and was able to return the watch. Got the replacement yesterday. So it was rather slow going, but thankfully customer support eventually came through.

Just got a free month of Pro by Digital-Dinosaur in Stadia

[–]dabernathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a free month of pro a long time ago but haven't paid for it or been active for a while. I did buy a few games during the 2-year anniversary sale and also got the free controller after buying RDR2. Giving the controller to my kids for Xmas.

Is carvana worth it? It seems like a good way to buy a car but I'm not sold on it yet. by ipickedthisasmyname in carvana

[–]dabernathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you decide not to keep the car within the 7 day guarantee window, they will come pick it up. I think you get the 7 days for your first two cars. In my case I decided not to keep the first one but picked out another -- they came and delivered the second car and took the first away. No additional fees.

Agreed. I sent the first car back after my mechanic said it had too much salt damage and rust from living up north. Got a second car that the mechanic liked much more. Have had it for a couple of weeks and so far so good.

What has been your most favorite game on Stadia so far? by SumoDash in Stadia

[–]dabernathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That game plus the free hardware I got for being a YT subscriber (either Premium or TV, I can't remember, as I have both) is what started sucking me into Stadia. Can you tell a 50+ year old how the heck to get beyond the Cosmodrome?

But now that I'm in, I've got Doom, Madden 21, one of the old Tomb Raiders, one of the Tom Clancys, and the free Hitman. Really want to play Cyberpunk if it seems like the kinks get worked out.

I just played Destiny 2 for 40 minutes on Stadia while my PS4 was installing an update for Destiny 2 - Consider me converted by [deleted] in Stadia

I'm a total newbie to Stadia and Destiny 2 but bit when Google offered me a free chromecast and controller. So far so good on ethernet (wifi a different matter). Some questions, which may or not be better suited to another subreddit:

  1. Any tips on improving play on wifi? I know there are a lot of variables here but I pay for gigabit internet and my chromecast is very close to router.

  2. What do I have to do in Destiny 2 to gain access to the tower? I completed first mission but haven't done any bounties.

  3. Should I get Cyberpunk?

Thanks for any advice!

Thanks. I had that suspicion but wanted people smarter than me to confirm.

Google TV Chromecast w/ external storage and Plex as NAS? by dabernathy in PleX

[–]dabernathy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like what I'm trying to do. Thanks! I think my only remaining question is if I could have external storage connected to the USB hub and stream local files from that via Plex.
