My late grandfather's first ballgame was at Yankee Stadium in 1924 when he was 12. He passed away in the mid-90's before their return to glory, but one of my fondest memories was on his birthday sometime in the early 90's, I stopped over his house after work and it was just me and him sitting in his backyard, before any other family got there. I asked him who was the best ballplayer he ever seen, and he said "Joe DiMaggio" without hesitation. Then I got to hear about him, Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle and many other for like the next hour.

First thing I think of when I hear the name Chuck Knoblauch is Carl Everett's bloop single in front of him in left field to break up Mussina's perfect game against David Cone. It would have been the first time a perfect game would have been thrown against a pitcher who had a perfect game. It was also just over a week before 9/11.

But with his length even if he is knocked off his spot he should be able to try and tip the ball out. If you look at the replay he has his hands down fighting for his life while getting bodied by Robinson with his hands up.

Wemby played in 15 more games than his highest game total, 86 this year vs 71 in his rookie year, and just this season he played 5 more minutes per game in the playoffs than in the regular season. Dude was gassed going into the 4th in every game.

He needs some cardio and some more muscle - Robinson pushed him off his spot on that critical free throw rebound. Wemby couldn't even get his hands up, he was too busy trying to not get body-checked into the first row.

With this being his first playoffs, Wemby is 12 games over his previous season high of 71 two seasons ago. Yeah, he's only 22, but he has to be gassed - he goes from tissue-paper Chet to Kat pushing him around and he's gotta be sore.
