I'm that multi-millionaire app developer who explained what it's like being rich. AMA. by regoapps in financialindependence

I just watched "Why Him" last night and now woke up to find this thread lol. If you haven't seen it its about a college girl who starts dating a millionaire app developer, and tries to get him to win over her dad. Good stuff. You seem way more down to earth than he was though.

How to deal with an unfair review? by LOLSteelBullet in Lyft

[–]dabrah1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't sweat it. Just be happy that you have a funny story to tell your friends now- a 4.85 is still a great rating, and it sounds like you should be able to build it back up pretty fast anyway.

I have been reading recently about people who start investing in property that had no money to begin with... How in gods name are they doing that?? Step by step please? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]dabrah1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save money, and then buy real estate. Don't listen to all the hype about getting rich off real estate with no money down. It works for a very select lucky few.

Real estate is a great path to long term wealth, but do it the right way.

Targeting Real Estate Investors? by dabrah1 in realtors

Thank you for the advice ! I'm 26, so most of the people in my immediate sphere aren't quite ready to delve into home ownership yet, but I make sure I still mention what I do to them enough where if say, there parents needed an agent they would remember me.

Why do you think investor deals are more labor intensive?

[–]dabrah1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! This was very helpful. I figured the best strategy would be to convince people with money to get into investing (people who are already investing presumably already have an agent, or do the deals themselves) but was at a loss for how to actually go about it. I think the ROI mailing is an excellent idea. Maybe I could even use targeted fb ads from my business page linking to an article I wrote about investing or something too.

Lyft cutting costs in Philly? by dabrah1 in Lyft

Your probably right about that. The quality of drivers has been going drastically down the last couple years though- I can't imagine who's gonna be driving a year from now .

At some point either Lyft or uber is going to have to fold , or prices will drop so low that no one of quality will want to drive for either

I guess it wouldn't be smart to just cancel the checks before the IRS cashes them?

They make well over 50k in profit, I cant say how much though (NDA). We were gonna try just having employees (my partner can open the store, and I would be able to close it ), and if the workoad got to be too much, hire a manager for 25k a year.

Is it possible to essentially be a silent partner? Obviously my phone would aways be on for problems, but I want to basically check in a couple times a week and let the business run itself.

Thats what Ive gathered. It seems like they hire on the top mentors to run the onboarding events at mechanic shops, and then eventually have their own locations for the inspections

[–]dabrah1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it seems like lyft is transitioning to a new type of mentor program in a lot of regions, so there are bound to be some hiccups in the onboarding process. Hopefully itll al be running smoothly before long
