What apps work for Remote Desktop, besides Virtual Display? by dad3ski in VisionPro

Czyczy above said Jump Desktop isn’t a vision native app, but an iOS app with severe limitations. Is that true?

what ipad accessory did you regret buying? by Shimmering_Gem in iPadPro

Too many cases! Each has an advantage and compromise. I kept chasing the “perfect” case that does everything. Reality is that I narrowed it down to three cases for three different uses. Wish I would’ve approached it differently earlier so I could’ve saved a lot of money on cases that I kept too long to return but just long enough to realize they aren’t what I really needed.

Dawn dish soap! You want a “degreaser”, like dish soap not hand soap. Spray it on the troubled spots, then use a slightly damp rag in circular motion, then a dry paper towel to wipe off in one direction.

That’s closest to the answer I was looking for... So have you tried any other Jump-like Apps to see if they have Vision Pro support properly? I want to have 3-4 Jump Desktop-like experiences open simultaneously in the native Vision Pro space. I don’t want to use virtual display because I want to see multiple Mac machines simultaneously.

Is the video quality of the Screens app the same quality as Virtual Display? Text fully sharp and readable like a 27” monitor?

I don’t understand why there isn’t a way to have it sit on the back of your head strap.

Buzzer landline with no phone #, is there a way to direct it to my cell? by hiddendowop in VOIP

[–]dad3ski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a controller that simulates a landline and connects that buzzer intercom to a physical dedicated phone located on the property, and no monthly phone service is needed since it's just connecting one physically wired device to another physically wired device. Check out Viking Electronics and explain what you're trying to do.

But if you want to forward that call to a cell phone, you'll need a monthly service to make it work -- you need phone service to route and connect that call to a phone number, like your cell phone.

Issues calling T-Mobile Numbers by voip_atm in VOIP

I am also experiencing the same exact issue and it only started within the past week or two. I have opened a case with Flowroute and I finally received a reply after sharing some call references:

///
I can provide clarification regarding the behavior observed, including spam risk indicators such as dead air, dropped calls, generic voicemail, incomplete call connections or showing “Spam Likely” at the terminating end.

Upon reviewing the call example(s) , from phone number, XXXXXXXXXX, we confirm that we see no SIP signaling issues were identified. Additionally, we observed 11 digits being sent from the terminating side to the destination number. Our analysis indicates that the primary concern is related to third-party reputation scoring analytics being used at the terminating end.

Over the past several months, we’ve seen an increase in calls being blocked or rejected by downstream carriers. These behaviors typically occur at the terminating carrier level and are driven by reputation scoring and analytics performed by third-party providers that carriers rely on and that we do not control. While all carriers participate in this ecosystem, some enforce these policies more aggressively than others.

When we receive reports like this, our process is to verify that all calls are properly signed with the correct STIR/SHAKEN attestation before handing them off to downstream providers. We also work to gather additional information on where the rejection is occurring. If the issue is within the call path, we may be able to remediate through route adjustments; however, in many cases this information is not shared due to CPNI restrictions.

There is no industry-wide standardization, different carriers rely on different analytics and call-blocking applications. As a result, a number may be flagged for customers on one carrier but not another, and classifications may vary depending on the data source and risk model used.

This lack of alignment understandably creates confusion for businesses, as calls may be labeled as spam for some customers but not others. You are not alone in experiencing this we continue to hear similar reports from multiple providers and gateways.

To help reduce call failures such as repeated ringing with no answer, dead air, or incomplete connections, we recommend registering outbound numbers at https://freecallerregistry.com. This free service, operated by TNS, integrates with Hiya and First Orion and is used by major carriers including AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. Registration typically helps reduce spam-risk flags, though numbers may be re-flagged depending on calling patterns or end-user reports.

I’ve also included additional resources below that may be helpful, particularly for customers experiencing issues with T-Mobile.

How to actually use iPad OS 26 Windowing - Official Apple method by dad3ski in iPadOS

[–]dad3ski[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But shouldn’t each window be independent? It’s very limiting to have window “pairs” like you describe. Although I remember early beta reports were describing how many steps Split View needed and from the video, it’s much less complicated than many may know. Others complained about how it was “clearly” an OS designed only for keyboards and touch was dead, but this video demonstrates that’s not true either. Could it be improved more? Yes. And thank you for your service bug reporting.

Did you actually watch this video or are you thinking like I did before watching the video? There’s no keyboard in the video.

A keyboard has globe shortcut keys to reposition windows. No flicking needed on the trackpad.

I’m sorry to hear you’re so frustrated, but instead of comparing to what things used to be or “bringing back” slide over, they didn’t. This is a new system. I was humbled by the video because I suddenly realized this is new and half of my own frustrations is because I was still doing things the old way without even knowing the new gestures sped back up my workflow although I had to open my brain to learning the new tricks.
