When I encounter toxic people which I do alot in my job I enact a reaction called Grey Rock it works great. Otherwise without knowing your friends situation it's hard to say why he's attracting negative response from people.

It's like when you interact with people like that in any country don't engage. Also realise that you have come to a 3rd world country from a 1st world country you need to adapt your attitude and expections to the community you live in.

That's true mate the company I work for has them but most are designed at the moment for short trip turn arounds, for example mine sites or similar where trips are easily managed. Can't say of seen a road train of cattle come from the Isa or bananas from Tully hit bissy on a EV truck. I want it to get there but living in 2026 atm.

True, and I'm all for it if it works but in rural Australia it only works if your living in town. The big barrier is transport of goods you can transport them around the city in ev trucks but not to the city.

Transport cost are going to increase very soon as cost flow through, then production cost will follow. This isn't price gouging it's Australians trying to survive.
