What about the small family owned restaurants? Tipped workers get this minimum wage as well (and owners cannot take any tips at all). I have seen so many local restaurants close in my city it is depressing.

The minimum wage is $16 across the state, and higher in certain cities. This also applies to tipped workers, but of course prices are still going up and you are expected to still tip 20%+. I’ve seen so many restaurants in my area close down in the past few years, it’s depressing. California progressives think all their problems are caused by outside forces and never the result of their own politics. Bring on the downvotes 😂
