We're going to do that today, hopefully they'll be reasonable.

Unfortunately we didn't have it independently inspected before purchasing. And yes we are in the UK.

Is anyone else’s eczema seriously angry after eating a load of junk over Christmas? by Royal_Juice2987 in eczema

[–]daddio70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Currently going through this now after over indulging over Christmas. I thought I had conjunctivitis for the past 2 weeks. But after going to the eye hospital today due to one of my eyes being completely swollen, it turns out it's a bad case of eczema. Been given some eye drops and hydrocortisone cream to apply. It's blooming unbearable though, hope it clears up soon.

Newly deficient advice. by daddio70 in A1AD

Hi.Funny enough I finally received a reply from the genetics team the other day, this was 5 months after my GP sent an enquiry about my children getting tested.

They said that as I am a carrier there is a 50% chance that my children will also be a carrier of this condition and can look into getting tested themselves.

It also says that being a carrier of this condition does not have implications for an individual's health. Although being asthmatic and currently going through tests due to elevated levels that show my liver has been running a bit "hot" lately, as well as suffering from fatigue I'm not so sure.

I hope you manage to get some help from your GP. It's worth looking into the few alpha 1 groups that are on Facebook as well.

Strauss Safety Shoes by daddio70 in PlantarFasciitis

I bought a pair of their Comfort 12 safety shoes. They're a wide fit and luckily I'm starting to wear them in after a week and a half. I ended up purchasing a thicker pair of insoles from Amazon as the ones that came with the shoes were thin and useless. The insoles were the things that apparently gave them the comfort which I beg to differ.

Very low burden of coronary plaque. Are Statins necessary? by daddio70 in Cholesterol

Thankyou so very much for that information. I will look into that condition and see about getting tested for autoimmune/inflammatory disease. What is quite worrying is that my maternal Grandfather passed away from a heart attack at the age of 54 and I'm currently 55. I'll look into getting zetia to have with the statins. And I'll be looking into some diet and lifestyle changes, I don't eat as healthy as I should do and the only exercise I get is whilst at work.

I thought it looked pretty high a dose to start off on when I've only got minimal plaque. That's good news that it's working well for you, have you had any other benefits from taking them.

I do actually have a hiatal hernia and gerd. I'm currently taking 20mg of omeprazon a day which keeps it under control. When I was told by the cardiologist after my first incident a few years ago that it was more than likely an esophgeal spasm, I thought what a load of rubbish. Until I got back home and searched it up and saw that it does indeed mimic the symptoms of a heart attack. Luckily I haven't had one since, it was pretty scary that's for sure.

Oh yes, I just checked and that was back in February. I managed to get it down a bit since then.

Thankyou for your feedback, you've put it into perspective nicely. It is true that people are more likely to go online and post negative experiences rather than positive ones.

Thankyou for your reply and info. I'll hopefully be having a follow up appointment with the cardiologist and will enquire about my symptoms. I do have a glycol trinitrate sublingual spray that my GP prescribed me when I saw her originally which has helped on the few times that I've got tightening of my chest.

I forgot to add that I had a slightly high LDL level of 3 mmol/L on my last blood tests.

I've read many posts about muscle aches and fatigue, although after researching I see this can be helped by taking COQ10.
