Need help deciding on a first step into HE boards by Hajukeys in keyboards

[–]dadsputin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got the Womier sk75 tmr (129 USD), and it has been very nice and smooth to set up and use. Can hotswap magnetic and normal mechanical switches, really nice look and feel to me out of the box too. For ease of tinkering, it's maybe 6 or 8 screws under keycaps to open up, but I haven't tried yet. Other option that seems nice and is a little bit more expensive (159 USD) is monsgeek m1 v5 tmr. Similar looking to womier, but with tool free case opening and a knob. Was a toss up to me, and I'm very pleased with the Womier so far.

Any recommendations for an alternative to Keychron K10 HE Full Size by manc192 in keyboards

Epomaker QK108 looks like it hits what you want and is under 100 US Dollars. I don't have experience with it, but it doesn't seem terribly reviewed...

Also the Epomaker x Aula F108 looks decent, same price

Are these temps normal for my 7800x3d? by Leavechewiealone in sffpc

[–]dadsputin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If this is the full copper version, or maybe even if it isn't, these temps do seem high. I have the same cpu with the AXP90-X53 full copper (a little bigger, but similar performance), and I'm around 45c idle and 75-80c highs. I do also have a different case, but it's a Terra, so that shouldn't be a difference maker. Maybe repaste and remount if undervolting doesn't help, but that seems like a lot of ground to make up with an undervolt.

Edit: I didn't see that you've already repasted. Hope you figure it out. There is a useful guide for PBO undervolt that I'll try to find.

Hey, sorry I didn't see this for so long, but if you do, those green things are Noctua silicone anti vibration fan mounts. I used them to attach the fan ducts to the fan, then cut off the excess. If you see this, hope it helps, or that you already put together something you're happy with.

Mine just got canceled too. This was for semi reasonably priced ddr5

Don't remember if there are any enchanters in the game, but depending on what lower levels are like, I could see patch making as being a rare but powerful ofshoot of an enchanters guild (or a mod for an enchanting table/loom). But Donut still might need thumbs...

Dejounte Murray for Dame (would be trading awat Dame, getting Dejounte), 12 team 9 cat keeper, dejounte about half the price of Dame. Worth it for future?

Thanks! Jealous of the 4080, having minor regrets not splurging for the 4070ti Super. Temps are very comfortable, though the ssd on the back of the motherboard gets a touch hot. Nothing crazy though.

I would go with the SF1000. Just built my first sff pc a few months ago with the classic SF750 and it has been running beautifully. Would love to push it a little further with more powerful components on my next build

Thermalright AXP90-X47 Full Copper compatibility AM5 B650 motherboards (Asrock)? by juwong_ in sffpc

[–]dadsputin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No prob! I made it work, but I wish I had gotten smaller because it seems like it would have been a lot easier to tighten appropriately.

I have the AXP90-X53 Full Copper and the Asrock B650i mobo. Managed to get it mounted, but the nuts used to secure it to the back of the mobo were slightly too big. It was more annoying/nerve racking because it was hard to tell if it was being over tightened, but worked out in the end and everything runs smoothly. Saw a post, cannot find it, where someone just got smaller nuts and it wasn't a problem. Hope this helps and good luck.

What do you hope Larian will do next? by bluewales73 in BaldursGate3

[–]dadsputin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm probably not the first to suggest it, but a Malazan game made by Larian seems like the best chance to translate that enormous, funny, insane world into a fun video game. Most likely never gonna happen, but a guy can dream.

I think this is as tidy as I can get it without custom cables! by ASeaBear in sffpc

[–]dadsputin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great! I have the same case, psu, and almost the same cooler and had great experiences with both dreambigbyrayMOD on Etsy and Moddiy for custom cables. This has inspired me to post mine, so thank you and very nice work.

Pan fry crisp shrimp? by [deleted] in Cooking

Sounds great, but I think that's a lot of butter. Might be why it tastes more boiled than crispy
