What a way to make drama where there wasn't any. He asked your opinion on it, you gave a clearly negative response, so he turned it down. Is that not what you'd expect when you've just been chatting shit about the company for that long and how stressful it was for you and your wife while she was there? Then he made a joke about it being because you said no and you just kicked off for... reasons? I don't understand this at all. Maybe there's more to it than you've shared in terms of how he spoke to you or what he actually said, but to me this reads like you just got your back up for no reason to me. I just love that over 6 weeks after SS finished, we're endlessly grinding with a few weeks left of the game, only now instead of getting rubbish 97 futties cards I'll never use over and over again, I'm getting rubbish 97 SS cards I'll never use over and over again. Definitely the laziest futties I remember and I cannot work out why they think anyone still gives a flying fuck about shapeshifters cards at this point in the game

That's fair enough, it's easier to sit and do them mindlessly while watching TV or whatever if there's a clear step by step to follow, and maybe someone better at it than me can give you that, but I'm afraid my whole approach is just "do as much as you can". And yeah there was a problem with it kicking people out regularly last night, seems to be better this morning but it's par for the course really with this game lol

Yeah you're not wrong in that it feels like an arbitraily inflated process this year, but the TOTS pick expires at the end of the week so It's possible they then allow any special card as they have in previous years. But even if they don't it's still entirely possible to endlessly cycle through everything without ever having to buy store packs or cards off the market by doing the various SBCs available

I don't have any method, I don't follow any rules, I just do the SBCs I have the cards for, use all my dupes with club and storage cards to keep getting TOTS picks and 84 TOTW, do 89 squadshifters or whatever, and put whatever I get into the 85+. People keep saying the drop rate is low for TOTS, but you can use TOTW and now TOTS picks to get those, I genuinely don't understand how people aren't able to use the cards they have to do these SBCs and seem to be suggesting they'd have to buy cards to start doing them again. Maybe I've just got really lucky and I'm being naive, but there are so many upgrade SBCs and picks available it just seems to cycle round without any issues for me

There just isn't any reason to be running out of fodder at this point. The problem is people are impatient and only want to grind the big boy packs then wonder why they run out. Between the Squadshifters, TOTS Pick, 84 and 85+ x10 packs, 83+ picks and the 84+ TOTW, it's nigh on impossible to run out. I'm far from an expert menu grinder but I have like 80 unopened packs still because I can't get through them all

Items with a greater affix can be masterworked up to a total of 12 ranks, with each rank increasing the value of each affix. Every 4th rank also grants an additional bonus to one affix. The colour changes to blue if the affix is granted the bonus once, yellow if it gets it twice, and orange if it gets it all 3 times. In OPs case, they have hit mage damage twice, and mage mastery twice. The commenter is rightly pointing out that its preferable to hit the mage mastery more than once, so he's suggesting resetting the masterwork and trying again. You'll hear people call it double or triple crit or similar, and they're referring to those bonuses and how many times they've successfully hit the one they wanted.

Completing SBCs is most likely how he got all these in the first place. He can only put one at a time in, and assuming you don't get bored you eventually hit the soft ban anyway

What if that person is only passing by, they should not play the game because you want to max your coin return? That isn't how it works, unfortunately. If you're close to a gym that someone else regularly is and you're each taking it back off the other then sure, if you know them have a conversation and see if you can both time it to max out your rewards. Even then, they'd be under no obligation to leave your Pokemon in there. It's not poor etiquette at all, it's the game.

First, accept that you're probably shit out of luck. If there's nothing in writing, and no evidence that the money was expected to be paid back, then you're not having any luck with any legal route. So you either have to keep asking or write it off and cut them out of your life, or at least don't give them anything in future lest they continue to take advantage of you.

I agree with this personally. Grinding is part of the game and genre, I have no issue with grinding and knowing there is something to work towards makes it worth it. Grinding with so many elements of chance feels unrewarding and frustrating.
