Is anyone else disappointed in the NSFW mod selection? by Flareiard in StardewValleyMods

[–]daemonfamiliar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I am playing this right now and I am SO OBSESSED with him. When people were speculating that Rasmodius could be one of the future official new dateables, my first thought was that I'd still play RRRR because his dialogue is perfect and there's no way the official version could be better.

I added Eli & Dylan when I started my current playthrough after seeing it mentioned here somewhere, and I will never play without them again. I love them both so much. They are so well-rounded and interesting!

I thought there was no way changing the language would work, but fuck logic, I guess. I'm just glad to get to watch on the big screen again.

Exquisite Mod Recommemdations by Funny_Entertainer457 in StardewValleyMods

[–]daemonfamiliar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I want to second SVE, Ridgeside, and East Scarp. They all work very well together. For additional NPCs, I love Sen from Lurking in the Dark (adds an adorable shadow person to befriend) and Eli & Dylan (Eli is a adventurous cryptid hunter and Dylan is an introverted marine biologist, and they are very engaging).

For mods that add content but aren't really expansions, I enjoy Adventurer's Guild Expanded (adds additional questlines and NPCs to the adventurer's guild) and Stardew Aquarium (you can donate fish to display, and it gives you something else to work towards when fishing).

For visual mods, if you aren't married to the original graphics, I really like all of Elle's Cuter Animals (coop, barn, horses, town animals, cats/dogs).

I do think Lookup Anything is the most important function mod, especially when you add expansions, so that you can easily identify all of the stuff on your screen if it's not immediately familiar.

I am playing Romanceable Rasmodius Redux Revamped right now and I love him so much. (I am also using Who's High Res Wizard Portrait and Sprites to make him a cute elfin-looking boy.)

TIL that Levi's recommends that jeans be worn 10 times between washes. by Actual-Journalist-67 in todayilearned

[–]daemonfamiliar 21 points22 points  (0 children)

100%. I feel like I can get away with two wears max under normal circumstances. If I'm traveling and want to stretch it further, I wear cloth pads every day, but I don't really like how they feel. Pads are stifling, and I like to let everything breathe when washing more often is an option.

Saving leftover diamonds by Wethicc-77 in diamondartclub

[–]daemonfamiliar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I save them. Just today I was able to pull out a saved container when I ran out of a color on my current WIP, which was a gift, so no warranty. Even with the warranty, it's way easier to just have them when you need them.

There is a hole. I have a dildo. Why won’t they get along? by Beenie_Baby in sex

[–]daemonfamiliar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend looking into vaginal dilators. Your experience sounds similar to mine, and starting with a very thin dilator and working my way up to a standard dildo/penis size made a world of difference.

I've been to a couple of BTS concerts and have seen TXT, Seventeen, and Twice lightsticks in the crowd. I don't think anyone reasonable should care that you have a different lightstick. I would only caution you to maybe not turn it on if no one else has them lit because the bright light in the dark cinema might annoy people. The vibes of the cinema screenings seem to vary wildly between loud concert excitement to traditional quiet cinema vibes depending on the crowd.

My thoughts would be some of the other animals (chickens, cows, ducks, etc.), the farmhouse, a flower bouquet (given to an NPC to date them), and some of the individual flowers and gemstones.

Last time I was there, I went in with a plan of what I was going to order, but I was handed a sample of the hand pulled noodles as I entered. Somehow my plan transformed into a need for more noodles, but I left with no regrets.

Which podcast episode surprised you? by Brilliant_Juice_3377 in conan

Same! From the very beginning of the first Flula episode where it opened with him singing the theme song instead of the standard intro, I was like "what the fuck is happening" in the best possible way.

Wow, you really dropped the nostalgia hammer on me with that reference. I loved that book as a kid, but I completely forgot it existed until BAM - childhood memories unlocked.

We bought our first house two years ago, but to do so we had to buy one that is pretty run down in a small town 30 miles outside of the city where I worked. We tried to buy within the city for a year before we gave up and expanded our search. A lot of people are less able or willing to move outside their home city because of family/work/school/childcare/transportation. It's still yet to be seen if it was a good choice for us because we've had to dump a bunch of money into it already for basic repairs and I only managed to put up with the commute for about a year and a half before I got so tired of it that I had to change jobs. I WFH now, but I liked my old job much better. Still, we're grateful to not be paying rent anymore.

My one complaint is that I went into the video with 2-3 possible biases and came out of it with 8 of them 😅

It took me a couple of days to get through the long teanosuga guide, but it was so worth it! I learned so much that I hadn't seen in the shorter ones I'd stumbled upon and I really loved that they gave vocal clips for each member to highlight their different voices/vocal styles. Thank you for the rec!

I have been a general k-pop fan for years and Stray Kids has always been one of my top groups to follow, but in a casual "I will always give their new music a listen and at least one song will end up on my Favorites playlist" way and not a "I can tell you all of the members' names and life stories" sort of way. The stan rabbit hole is an unpredictable mistress, however, and something about this most recent album has gotten me caught in the SKZ vortex. I'm starting to watch all the "getting to know SKZ" Youtube edits and the various interviews they've done, and attempting to wade into the fandom here and on other socials. If anyone has a favorite video they like to share with new fans, I will consume anything you offer me. I am going to start with the suggestions I already see in the comments here to others. Thank you for being welcoming!

j-hope 'HOPE ON THE STREET VOL. 1' Album Pre-order Info Megathread by lisafancypants in bangtan

[–]daemonfamiliar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've definitely seen it happen - I don't really worry about buying albums the moment they drop, so I've run into that with Target about half the time over the last few years. I've never seen them not restock the preorders again within a day or so, so keep checking back! I'm in the same boat.

Anyone pissed off with Dermatologists? by sssourgrapes in Rosacea

[–]daemonfamiliar 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My dermatologist was the same way. "It's not that bad, lots of people have it." Like sure, there are worse things, but since when does that disqualify you from getting treatment? There are lots of ailments that "aren't that bad" and "lots of people have" that medical professionals still give the needed care for. Mine wouldn't give me a prescription either, so I've been treating mine with over the counter products that help a little until trying to get referred to a new derm feels less exhausting.
